  So changes were made, but who cares because were so deep into the end, nothing the Organization does, really matters—does it?

  so i called a few jwdubs that still talk to me, not to try to convince them of anything or wake them up but to try to get a feedback on how they took the big meeting change and other announcements.

  generally speaking, all the ones i talked to were not even fazed by the changes.

  many of them still didnt even realize the meeting format had changed and thought the layoffs were a normal thing that happens all the time.

  Oh, the "New Order" is going to be here soooooon, is it? Your Elder friend must really be up in years. "New Order" is very outdated cult terminology, new light (since late 1980's anyway) dictates that it be referred to as the "New System." Even the New World is kind of passe', as it sounds too much like New World Order.

  However, I also say New Order, as it implies you've been in da Truth a looooooooonnng time and know what you're talking about. It's like instant JW street credit and respect. Kind of an "in the know" sort of thing.

  at my mom's bed side all i see is either jw family or friends making a concerted effort to have me return to their fold.

  evidentlyy, my mom has encouraged this and i'm a trapped prisoner, as they do their best to have me come back.

  it's bad enough that i have to endure my mom's dying, now i have to be bombarded with this bs..

  Tell them you'll come back, if you are made an Elder within 6 months. If they say no, tell them you feel stumbled (again).

  Britian Bethel has lost more than HALF of it's staff???? To me, that is just incredible! And here they were building a NEW Branch Office HQ there, I'm assuming to handle Europe?

  That is just crazy!! What the h*ll is going on? I don't want to play into any sort of hysteria or paranoia, but that figure is really jaw-dropping on it's own, and indicative of huge problems afoot.

  Bethel Layoff Notices arrive under Bethellite doors

  just heard from a reliable source that some at the canadian branch have received their lay-off notices under their doors at bethel.

  don't know what the letter looks like.

  probably something like, " the tribe has spoken, bring us your torches"

  I wonder.......I really, really wonder........if all of this could be the "wind-up" to the old belief (in the 70's and 80's in particular), that the JW's held that in the time of "The End", that the normal preaching work would cease, and instead of a message of warning would be sent out. A kind of, "I told you so", about the righteous Judgment that Jehovah God thru Jesus was about to dish out on mankind thru the Great Tribulation and then Armageddon. Think about it........what if these guys at the top, these delusional old fools who really buy into the religion (They are after all, the top zealots) have it in their heads that this is it......the persecution and apostasy has reached it's peak, and feel that the world is turning on religion, specifically JW's. Before Noah's Ark was shut, a warning went out about the impending doom to befall the pagans of that time. What if the current JW leadership feels it is now "time" for a similar message? So lay everyone off, keep on necessary staff to complete WorldWide HQ at Warwick, and very shortly send out the rank-n-file on a message of impending doom. That's what I was taught as a child in the 1980s, that at some point the preaching work would end, and a final message of vindication would go forth. Just a theory. Jim Jones was crazy. Applegate was insane, and Armstrong was equally as nutty. So too are the leaders of this Cult. Let's not forget, even with it's financial might, that's the root of this entire thing.......End Times Apocalyptic Annihilation.

  if they are all true, and wtbts is hoping to distract the r&f with the ongoing claim 'the end is so near we need to preach'.

  how long do you give the excitement to die down among the 20-30's crowd?

  I'm 36, and fully awake to the fact that all is not well in Oz, since I was about 10. By 19, I found the internet.

  However, even at 36 I still fight with the idea, the very reality, that the "New Order" has not yet arrived, and that the Generation of 1914 are all DEAD. Actually, all my grandparents, parents, and parents friends are DEAD. And the New Order? Nowhere in sight. Say, who's the King of the North again? What about that Peace & Security? Nowhere in sight. Not even talked about anymore, actually. Types and anti-types? Oh well.....done away with now.
  

  It's still hard for me to accept at times how conned we all were. That's what thorough, manipulative, cult indoctrination does to you from a young age.

  so, recently, i made a reconnection with a long lost jw friend.i first met her when i was about 12 or 13, and she was about 10.. she was a lovely young lady, very poised, very intelligent, a cut above the other girls in the hall.

  easy to talk to.

  i was in love with her.all the boys in the hall loved her.

  News from Argentina....letters from bethel to bethelites ; Get out with happiness!

  bethelites news news betheliteson friday 50 brothers and sisters at bethel bethelites argentina, took their last breakfast together before heading out to their congregations.the bethel own patterson, new york, an undetermined number of bethelites that they were notified had a week to leave bethel and become regulate pioneers in their congregations.a couple of brothers they sold us everything told they had to go to work where there was more need.

  a couple of months left to work on construction projects of kingdom halls in needy countries ago.

  they have been told it is over.that's how fast things are changing toward the end.we are on the verge of incredible things, so any change is not surprising.is our lord faithful and discreet slave receiving instructions regarding the next future?
