I agree with above. Try to get into college. If you don't mind military service (USA), join a branch for the GI Bill. You'll also get into great shape, travel the world, etc. I recommend the Navy or Air Force, but that's me. You'll have a place to sleep, meals, exercise, travel, training, and build self-confidence. By the time you are 22, you'll also have money saved up and also the GI Bill waiting to help you with college. It's actually what I wish I had done.
Your father has ZERO say or control over you once you are 18. Good luck.

My God.....this is awful, just AWFUL treatment of volunteers (no less, treated like slaves).
The only other thing I've heard of that even comes close to this level of cold, callous, evil treatment is what members of Scientology receive at their own "Big Blue House."
And to think, this was back in the 1970's, and this type of cruelty is still alive in well at WT HQ, and will be just as alive in the new WT HQ being built. These leaders are sick in the head, "mentally diseased" to the core. Totally whack.

OMG, another episode of John A's "ear-tickling" bullcrap!! And he drums up 7 pages of responses!!
Bravo John, BRAVO!!!!!
These are entertaining stories, but not nearly as entertaining as NewBoy's, which absolutely have the ring of "truth" to them.

"stirred but not broken's"
......experience above is just heartbreaking. Imagine, being in your while life like him and his family, only to be tossed aside like human trash, and treated worse than dirt. Truly, "by their fruits you will know them." JW's are a group of total poseurs. I'm so glad to be out and away from them, that I could do backflips down the street.

Steven Lett asks for money again
by Gorbatchov inthe 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.
the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!
personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.

My First post

i would like to thank everyone for helping me wake up.

I've always enjoyed Simple Minds. My favs include: "Someone, Somewhere, in summertime", "Alive & Kicking", "Belfast Child," and of course being American "Don't you forget about me." They just performed at the MTV VMA's a few months back, but looked really horrid. Molly Ringwald introduced them......but as I said, the lead singer in particular looked really out of sorts.
Welcome!
