Peacefllpeat, Narkissos, I could not disagree more.. it is true the 2 cor 2 did not mentions sexual sin, but if you are truly forgiving someone, do you need to mention there sin.. and keep bringing it up? The ideal that this applies to the account at 1 cor 5 is much more reasonable, then saying that it applies to a lost account in the bible, because it doesn?t fit into my beliefs. .

I think paul did recommend someone to be removed from the congregation.. there is no evidence what so ever that this man was to be put to death.. no where did it say that.. yes he was to be handed over to stain, I think that is to say he was cast out from gods people.. not that he must die..

And I think that paul realized , after the man repented, that to keep punishing his was more then a little wrong.. so he forgave the man, as an example.

That was the smartest thing they ever did.. Your customers want to know that your are offering them the only true religion.. By claming that Jesus returned invisibly, and then offering that up as proof that you are chosen by god, and the end time is near is nothing short of brilliant .. While it can not be proven, it can never be DISPROVEN..

other religions may have alot of cash but this one claims the world is going to end any day.

Happy Guy.. I couldn?t agree with you more.. If the world was going to end at any moment, then there would be no need to have money in the bank. But its not going to end. The society is just in the business of selling doomsday scenarios. There is a lot of money to be made catering to all the people who want to think that they are intellectual elitist?s, and ethically superior to all others because that have the inside scoop on god.

The society is not the only person to play for the hard cash of these people. Edgar Whisenant book 88 Reasons why the Rapture will be in 1988 sold millions, as well as did Hal Lindsey?s, Late Great Planet Earth. If the world was going to truly end as outlined by both of these books, the authors would got have only made the information available for free, there would have been no reason to write, and sell revisions, and sequels to these books.

I think you have got the Org all wrong..

The Society, Is a business. They sell the customer a life style.. They have product differentiation from other business that sell the same product. IE Jw?s don?t have a cross. They don?t celebrate holidays.

The product that they sell is the security you feel, by belonging to the only true religion, they also provide the customer with endless meaningless test?s of faith. It makes the customer feel good to know they have passed the test. The customer also gets a feeling of loss by seeing, and losing people who did not pass the endless test?s of faith. Like a soldier who loses his buddy in battle, it is painful, but makes him more determined to fight harder, and soldier on.

This is the product that all religions sell, in one form or another is just a life style, And like any other form of business they deserve to get paid.

Are they hypocritical? HELL YES, But that?s all part of the business.. What religion isn?t full of hypocrites? What religion clams to be a For-profit business? What is sad, is that this form of big business has so much influence on how people think, and view each other. What is sad, is that this form of business is legal

Sorry guys,, but holding a large sum of cash is just smart.. Yeah I know they preach the end of the world, and they are gods chosen people, but they know better.. If they are truly gods chosen people then they don?t need the money, because like the Jew?s nothing bad will ever happen to them. But really, having money, and good credit is smart, and I cant fault any business for doing that..

yes i know that there is one case where some one was removed from the congregation in the bible for sinning, but jehovah witness distorted the facts in the matter to meet there own agenda.
