  a blood trasfution does not a guarantee a patient's survival.

  How typical of JW ignorance and arrogance! Far, far more lives have been saved by transfusions than have been saved by refusing them. Like the Pharisees who condemned Jesus for healing on the Sabbath, JWs today condemn the good others do simply because those others don't comply with the JW pharisaical interpretations of the Law. Jesus told the Pharisees they would rescue a sheep from a pit on the Sabbath, but JWs would prefer to see a human child die than to have the child's parents break their human twisting of what the Scriptures really mean. Jesus gave his own blood to save others. JWs talk big about following his example, yet strangely they look down on others who would go that far to save others.

  Three guilty in exorcism Man died in January, 2002: For six days, parents tied up son, prayed for him Francine Dubé National Post Friday, May 23, 2003 LONDON, Ont. - Tied for six days to chairs while his parents and members of their church prayed over him to exorcise the presence of Satan from his strapping 19-year-old frame, Walter Zepeda, a shy and quiet young man who had never been guilty of anything more than ordinary teenage rebellion, uttered the last words he would ever speak. "Forgive me." He fell asleep. Just after midnight, on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, he died of dehydration. He had been without food and drank only a little water since his ordeal began. At times his mouth had been duct-taped so that neighbours would not hear his screams. His wrists and ankles were torn and bleeding from the restraints that had been used to secure him. He was wearing an adult diaper and jeans. Yesterday, Mr. Zepeda's father, Diego Zepeda-Cordero, 45, and a family friend, Alex Osegueda, 43, were found guilty of manslaughter and sentenced to four years in prison for their role in the exorcism. Walter's mother, Ana Mejia-Lopez, 53, was sentenced to one day deemed served, for failing to provide the necessities of life. All three had been charged with first-degree murder, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charges during the preliminary inquiry last week.   My apologies to all, but I feel it's best to remove all my posts where I nurtured suspicions about Dutchie. As many of you know, her husband died not long ago. Especially in view of that fact, I feel it was unfair and cruel on my part to have thoughtlessly added to her sorrow.

  Now that I've been made aware of what her true situation is, I think any persons here who think Dutchie was pretending to be what she is not ought to do some rethinking of their own. I don't know the whole story, but I know enough to realize I made a terrible mistake.

  The relationship between fjtoth and me was discussed in another thread. It was a bad experience then, and we can only assume that it's going to be the same all over again. Neither one of us feels we need that kind of hassle. We've decided that if it happens again we're outta here.

  I'm now starting to have real regrets that I involved myself in this thread. I just received a private e-mail from someone who claims to know Dutchie real well and who says that she left us for a legitimate reason that none of us here have even slightly touched on. I've been singled out as having done a real disservice to Dutchie by pushing this matter as much as I have, since Dutchie loves all of us very much and is struggling with a spiritual problem that she has to work out for herself.

  If this is true, and I have no reason to doubt that it is, I'm sincerely very sorry for my part in contributing to any negative thinking about Dutchie.
