All About The Trinity
by UnDisfellowshipped inwhen jesus was about to die, he showed who his superior was by praying: "father, if you wish, remove this cup from me.
the one god is eternal (has always existed and always will), immortal (his divine nature cannot die), omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (he is everywhere at the same time), god is the only one who can read human hearts and minds, god cannot sin and cannot lie, god does not change his morals or his nature.
the trinity is not one person revealed three different ways (this is what "oneness pentecostals" believe).

UnDisfellowshipped,
I'm sorry but that is the biggest hypocritical statement I have seen in a long time!
This, coming from a person who once accused me of "being on drugs" and an intentional liar and deceiver, and made several, several personal attacks and insults against me in at least three different Threads, including several in this Thread.
Not to mention that Herk has ignored at least 5 or 6 very important questions I asked in this Thread and that other Trinity Thread.
May I suggest that your memory is a bit faulty and that you're a bit upset over nothing? If you prefer not to discuss the subject matter at hand, it might be best to say nothing than try to pick a fight. I'm eager to fight false teaching, and I feel strongly that the Trinity is a doctrine of demons. But though I feel those who believe in it have been deluded by false teachers, God is my witness that I have absolutely no hatred in my heart for such people.

UnDisfellowshipped,
Maybe if Herk spent more time reading the Bible, and using it in his/her arguments, he/she would be more credible.
I think Herk would turn me off on religion, because of his/her anger and hatred and name-calling. I am not judging or condemning, I am simply posting a "fruitage" inspection report.
Perhaps if you could start moving away from making personal attacks you might be able to concentrate more on the subject matter. For your information, I've read the Bible cover-to-cover several times, and I continue without fail to read in it every day, as I've done for most of my 70 years or so.
Apparently truth hurts you to an extreme extent. Otherwise, why would you accuse me of hatred and name-calling, etc., when there's no evidence for it?

UnDisfellowshipped,
Herk . . . is suspicious when people want more info about these diagrams??? What's up with that?
To accuse a person of being suspicious without anything to warrant or justify such a conclusion gives some insight as to how the accuser reads the Bible. Little wonder such a person comes away from the Bible as a believer in an unscriptural Trinity. Could it be that at least a little bitterness is showing?

Kenneson,
I would have to know the someone who presented this drawing of the 3-headed goddess, wouldn't I?
Why has this become such a big and important issue with you? Surely you have access to the internet and to encyclopedias in your local library! Simply do a search for "Trinity" and "origin," and see what you come up with. There are so many weighty matters discussed in this thread that I find it fascinating that one person can allow himself to become bogged down with a matter so trivial and easy to resolve.

Kenneson,
Is the purpose of your diagrams on page one to prove that the Watchtower has not misrespresented Trinitarians or that there is a pagan connection to the Trinity? I know no Trinitarian that uses the diagram of a 3-headed goddess with 6 arms to illustrate the Trinity.
I think my purpose was clear. Someone presented a drawing used by Trinitarians to explain their doctrine. Attached to the drawing was the phrase "Diagrams like this explain the trinity very well." I simply presented some additional drawings used by Trinitarians, some claiming to be Christians and some not, that are used to illustrate their doctrine.
So why, to you, does it explain the Trinity very well?
Shouldn't your question be addressed to Trinitarians who use such illustrations?

Is Jesus inferior because it says that He will "be subject" in 1 Cor 15:28?
by hooberus in"and when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that god may be all in all.
" 1 corinthians 15:28. .
the watchower implies that since jesus is said to be "subject" unto "him that put all things under him" that therefore jesus is inferior to god, and the trinity is thus not true.
