  i keep seeing references to the 750 million in sales of the nyc properties and confusion around the apparent cash flow problems of the wtbt society.

  here's the reality.

  if they went, to a bank and asked for loans for the buildings here's what a bank would say, "absolutely.

  Elder Newton, what's your thought on why the real estate building shut down, one would think the money grab would have been enough for a float?

  the "pre-letter" for the october 4 2015 letter is now posted to the jw.org for elders and it matches what had been leaked.. looks like we can confirm that the preliminary letter and the main letter are legitimate.. unbelievable!.

  before i was fully awake (i was never really) i would use the time at the meetings for day dreaming, for solving work related problems (in my mind) or just simply not fully listening to the talks.

  after awhile everything just sounds all the same to you, nothing new.

  think about it, i was really disappointed when they got rid of the announcements part, because actually thats the only part, where you could have heard something new (when the announcements where not from the kingdom ministry of course).

  Yeah something wierd going on, they seem to have become a real estate investment firm so if that's the case why didn't they borrow money against some of the property in new York to use to convert some of these properties into condos or whatever that would get them the most return on investment, instead of just selling them.

  I'm with leaving-quietly, criticism about them or one of their doctrines will be introduced here then later they will make a change. One example people here have posted about how little the Borg mentioned Jesus. One poster even had charts showing that the Borg was mentioning him less and less. Well this year's theme at the RC was all about Jesus.

  They use this site to see how their teachings and propaganda are taken by the people hearing it.

  It doesn't make sense a rule, the rank and file are stupid an not informed. Most will never know the construction has stopped. Most never new about the royal commission. If your going to do something to get more money from the r&f there's better ways.

  in my mind i see this as a very real situation developing rapidly world wide as these child molestation pay out become public knowledge and can no longer be denied or kept secret from the r&f.

  pretty soon the governing body will be the but of many jokes at headquarters and abroad.

  they are being caught red handed while robbing the cookie jar.

  according to the 2014 annual report:.

  "worldwide, there are 115,416 congregations of jehovahs witnesses and 8,201,545 publishers.".

  i don't understand how the borg is facing financial difficulty.

  I think these new tactics are designed to make them look broke. But also let's not forget the numbers they report maybe artificial and there's no where near 8 million. Even if there is 8 million publishers take away the kids, teenagers, and most people in developing countries and you don't have a lot of people left to donate. Of the million or less that can afford to donate how many actually do. Stealing all the money from the khs was a tell tale sign that something is up. We know their bleeding numbers we know religion as a whole is loosing members we know that since 2008 many don't have enough money to feed themselves let alone donate.

  So maybe there getting all the cash they can now and all the property and now are just going to ride the bull till it has no more to give, then close up shop and call it good. Like a homeowner that's house is about to be foreclosed on and he knows he can make up the money owed, so he moves out and rents the place to a tenant, then pockets the rent money until the bank finally take the house away.

  A simple explanation for the financial changes

  as i've mentioned from time to time, i'm a retired accountant.

  i have tried many times to come up with some logical, sound business reason why the wtbs has made the big changes in its financial arrangements: taking the congregations savings, the monthly donations per congregation etc.

  i finally came up with the answer.. the leadership of the watchtower society is batshit crazy.

  There's somebody high up that knows or feels as though there is no God and no Jesus because some of the things they do are blatant evil. There is no other reason, I think Rutherford knew are didn't care and now there must be many at the top maybe not the figure head guys the magnificent seven but others behind the scenes.

  the chelmsford project in the uk has already come to a halt and every one has been sent home.

  the bethel family in london is to be cut by several hundred.

  my impression is that most ambitious youngster in the org dream of being involved with the building program.

  It's awesome to hear that the big project in the UK has stopped, there must be money problems. The attorneys for the Borg probably figured out how stupid the leaders are and new they could steel the money away so they did.
