  Disfellowshipping Spree In My Congregation

  i just was looking back at a group photo on social media from exactly one year ago.. there are 12 persons in it, and since last year 3 of those persons in that photo have been disfellowshipped, plus one more not in the photo.

  so that's a total of 4 persons from my congregation of a little over 100 publishers.. unfortunately 3 are back at the meetings and taking the shunning, but one seems to be fully awake and has disappeared completely.. that's the most persons i recall being disfellowshipped in my congregation in such a short while.

  usually it's like 1 every 2 or 3 years.. i wouldn't mind seeing more people leaving.. there are currently 3 persons who i wonder about.

  i spoke to my 14 year old about not getting baptized he said he wasn't and understood my reasoning then texts his mother and says some really hurtful stuff.

  Maybe I'm over reacting but I'm getting tired of all the bullshit. They truly see you as a demonized one when your gone. Maybe 14 year olds are just like that telling you what they think you want to hear and then telling other what they want. My wife of course does much the same says things to me then says things to her friends even lying to them or misrepresenting what's truly going on to gain favor for herself. All in all when you leave they paint the picture that your really the bad guy and its you against the world.

  Should I go back and play like I've come to my senses then after a few months start studying the bible and crap like this and then start planting seed showing them the proper way of love and how to think via the teachings of Jesus also making sure they also learn that not everyone going to die at the big A things like this OR What??? I'm really getting sick of everyone trying to alienate my family from me. Not sure what to do any more, or am I just not being patient but again its hard to even get a word in when the family is being told not to listen to you. SO frustrated!!!!

  You could have also pointed out that the good news the jws preach is not the good news the Bible writers implied, Galatians chapter 1and 1corithians 15. IE Jesus is the Messiah is the good news.

  Seems odd that the Bible never mentions Pryamids?

  how could someone go to egypt at that time and not even so much as mention the huge monuments?

  What's stupid in all this is El is a God of covenants and according the Bible his Christians followers were imnthis new covenant. Jws are not inn this covenant the Borg even says so. So the obvious answer is no jw will have their prayers heard.

  Most of the old testament was written while the Jews we're in exile in Babylon then after during the Persian period, that's my belief. Babylon is farther away from Egypt the Jerusalem and during their excile Egypt had very little influence in the Levant. Most of the stories in Genesis come from the Mesopotamian part of the world not Egyptian. Even the story of Moses starts out as he being put in to a basket and floated down the river this is the same as the story of Sargon of Akkad. The laws are probably taken from most likely Hammurabi laws. Some of the proverbs came from Nineveh.

  But the influence of Egypt is unmistakable, Solomon is an Egyptian name and his temple was similar in construction to several in Egypt. Baptism, cercumsision, the Ark of the covenant, the staff and cepter all influenced or copied from Egypt. The idea of monotheism also came from a Pharaoh named Akkenaten. One can tell that Egypt and Babylon influenced early Judaism, but there no mistaking that their early Gods and human sacrifice came from their ancestors the Canaanites.

  i am wondering if my deceased elder father was awake?

  once we found out he was dying, i spent every moment i could with him, we were very close.

  anyway, i offered to read to him a lot when he was resting.
