Seems odd that the Bible never mentions Pryamids?

doesn't it seem strange that the bible never mentions the pyramids?

how could someone go to egypt at that time and not even so much as mention the huge monuments?

There was only two mass Exodus from Egypt in recorded history out side the Bible. Josephus wrote that 1 St.century bce historian by the name of Manetho wrote that the high priest of Akenaten the king who started monotheism. This high priest rose up maybe after Akenaten died and with the help of the Hykos and his army attacked the Egyptions. He later changed his name to Moses. He and his followers we're expelled from Egypt. Manetho also stated that the Hykos after being expelled from Avaris went to Jerusalem. The Bible story and the Jewish practice of pass over etc could have come from one if not both of these events.

And on another note, The city of Pithom may have been built by bricks and not stone, but not burnt bricks, the Egyptians didn't use burnt bricks.

guys .

a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.

i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

Raining before the Flood?

i remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.

instead there was this mist that you have.

never before or after this have i heard something like this.

Lets also remember that god made a covenant with Noah to save him and his family. Nowhere was there a provision to save anyone else. In the book of Peter where it says that Noah was a preacher that's complete bunk. Also after the flood god wants Noah to sacrifice animals to him because he likes the sweet smell, so how many animals went extinct?. And last but not least god regrets killing man and even though he knows man will be evil again he says he will never kill mankind off this way, So what was the point of doing it in the first place.

2 John 10

just looking for some rebuttals to 2 john 10, specifically when it comes to shunning family.

we essentially admitted to our families that we do not want to raise our kids as witnesses and do not believe what jehovah's witnesses teach.

predictably, they use 2 john 10 to justify shunning us, specifically the portion of the verse where it says "if anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him".. since we are apostates (according to the jw definition), and no longer "bring this teaching", would our family be correct in interpreting this verse to mean that they should shun us?.

Galations chapter 1 and 1corithians chapter 15 make it plain that the teaching or good news is all about Christ, they are the apostates

i just wanted to ask believers, christians, on this forum if you think the hope is heaven or earth.

There are Scripture s stating Davids line would rule forever never be broken, yet during the Persian period it was. So just because a Scripture says will live forever on earth, so what. And according to the jws it staid broken until 1914.

that's what i suspect.. perhaps some of us retrained our brains to not surrender to a natural urge to believe the simplest, most drama-laden spins on facts.. examples (at least i think this is the truth!):.

Not to hijack this thread but in the US a high percentage of kids are getting autism. Another thing to consider in the US the amount of vaccines and booster shots kids get in their young life is crazy. Many people believe theres a connection so much so that the Italian government now has changed the way vaccines a given because they believe there is a direct coralation.

You will find a lot of issues from one Gospel to the next. Read the resurrection story of Jesus and their all a bit different. The birth story is in only two Gospels and again different. Most experts will agree Matthew was written to try to tie Jesus in to as many stories from the old testament as possible.
