  Whose God are you worshipping??

  in the early writings of the bible its mentioned that the israelites worshiped false gods, gods of the stars and other celestial bodies.

  ezekiel even bloviates against this in his writings and king josiah is said to have abolish these practices.

  jeremiah mentions that god would even destroy the city were sun worship was being practiced a place called bethshemesh in egypt.

  Another update, recently it has been released that archyologists found king HezekiahS royal inscription pressed into a clay bulla. In this inscription there are two Egyptian Anks and most notably a symbol of a sun disk with wings. This is a symbol of the God Amun-ra, confirming my original post.

  When one looks at the edomology of the gods of the near east one can see their related, meaning the Sumerian God Anu is also the Canaanite god El and in Egypt this same god is Amun. So during Hezekiahs time Egypt was his ally and also had the most influence over the Levant. So it would make sense that he's using the iconography of the Egyptian God of the heaven Amun. Jehovah is Amun-Ra, Anu, El then takes on the attributes of the newer high gods the people of that area descided to worship Baal Hadad , Osiris and most notably Marduk.

  So now you know whos God you have been worshipping.

  Bending Truth - CO Talk - Time and Money Invested

  watched the bending truth video last week - an essential for those asking "why?

  " people join, and why people stay.. the co's talk on inspired truth and inspired error made much reference to habakkuk "not be late.".

  and then, they actually verbalized the bending truth video, for those wondering about the delay, and what to do.. "think about how much time and money you have already invested in serving jehovah.

  I need some friends!!

  i literally have 0 friends, actually i've never had any close friends.

  its really started to get to me.

  i homeschool and my parents keep me super isolated and all the other kids at my hall are complete a**holes!!

  I'm to busy for more then the friend or two that I have. But when I have time I intend on doing volunteer work and maybe joining some clubs to find friends.

  Notice that Satan in the bible never existed in the old testament

  he appears as a snake in genesis not as satan.

  all the way to job no satan is mentioned.

  satan and devil mean "resister" and can be apllied to other people.

  Another angle is in the story there's more then one God. God tells David do it, another punishes him. The original flood story was this way, God of sky wants humans dead, God of earth saves humans

  Undeclared changes to the 2013 NWT

  in the following from the 2013 edition of the nwt, the watchtower society indicates that when it released its initial 1950 edition, it considered the greek text provided by westcott and hort as its master text.

  as a result of these additional masters, the wts made some undeclared changes to the 2013 nwt.

  it does not list these changes or give any explanations.. greek text: in the late 19th century, scholars b. f. westcott and f.j.a.

  I'm wondering how many times they took out the name Jesus and replaced it with the name Jehovah? After using any other Bible but their over the last couple of years it's apauling so see the word Jehovah all over the new testamant, much more then before I believe.

  Everyone here has valid points, they may not be broke but selling properties cutting back tells me they need cash. I think the bigger picture is they are not retaining people or signing them up like before. Religion is drying up and they are trying to shore up their company. The internet is killing off belief in the Bible, so is science, archeology etc.
