  The book of Ruth... destroys the bible

  lets pretend two things:.

  1. god (yhwh) exists.

  2. the bible is his word.. now we follow genesis to judges ok... judges resets at chaper 17-21 but for the purposes od this posts lets ignore that.... ruth we are told lives in the time of the judges... ok no problem/ until the end.

  Wasn't Ruth also a Moabite?(Houston we have a problem). You also may want to look into the Septuagint bible for its timeline. Its more accurate but will probably expose the timeline you mention to be even more flawed.

  ever noticed how co's and ex-do's never say thank you for the hard earned money they get from the friends?

  they truly believe they are entitled to live an easy life at the expense of others.

  it is regarding the new format for the meeting on thursdays in my area.

  the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.

  one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

  Thelistener, what I ment was that they seem to not care about third world countries anymore, they seemed to have stopped financially supporting them, closed down branches told missionarys they must pay their own way, etc. Like what was said above, there's no money there to be had so why bother.

  I don't think it's about money it's people. They baptised around 260k last year. These aren't new ones just mostly kids changing their status from publisher, but the Org lost 140k in the same time. People leaving dieing or being dfd. Most of these the Orgs not getting back. I believe the Org will continue to loose 150k + each year this is going to kill off the religion slowly but it will. They are trying to make changes so less will leave but they have also stopped trying in 3 world countries so in the end the numbers will get worse.

  i am at work talking to a current jdub and i am making progress (i think) with her and right now the theme is education.

  she says that the wt no longer looks down on education and is claiming that the wt no longer says we are close to the end!
