I with my wife just try to remember that she was indoctrinated in to these ideas all her life. She is a victim of the cult and we were to, so I try to give my wife some slack on account of this.

Explaining JW Beleifs To Non JW's
by pale.emperor inmy new girlfriend asked me over dinner last night what jw's believe.
as i sat there explaining it i realized how ridiculous it sounds and was slightly embarrassed that i used to believe this crap for 31 years.. try and read this and imagine hearing it for the first time.... me: well... jw believe that god's name is jehovah and that his son is jesus christ.
they believe that jesus died on a stake and not a cross and that in the year 1914 he personally chosen the jw's as his one true religion.

Yeah I remember telling a couple people at work about the religion and they all say the same thing "that's fu@ked up"! To funny but at the same time it's depressing that we once believed this crap.

You would think that if thier was a special group that would come and you had to be apart of this group or thier organization in order to be saved and have every lasting life and a great relationship with God that the bible would say so pretty plainly somewhere because the bible says God doesn't want people to die. But oh where could these scripture be?, the closest I can find is john 3:16 on yet it mentions no group or organization. Damn I'll keep looking.

there are some that may look back over the years and say "man i really blew it" i'm not writing the following to scold for failures, but rather to help those who are young enough to put into practice what god wills for their life, and also to those of us who are in our middle years that still have time to change some things, in order to please god and find a peace that only being in his will can bring.

Other Religions use the Name JEHOVAH too
by UnDisfellowshipped inare jehovah's witnesses really the only religion that promotes and preaches the name of jehovah?.
jw's are always claiming that they are the only religion that preaches and uses the name jehovah, and that is why only they will be saved.

a letter was just read in out kh stating that all printing of wt and awake is ceased for the coming year and we will just place tracts on fs, countries which were cared by our branch will be cared by other countries...along with this they read the new fs form and stuff about reporting links of videos wtf..lol.
i can't tell which country perhaps that will give away a lot, any one with a similar information.

It's estimated that only 10% of the Indian population speaks English, so with no longer any support from bethel there's a high likely hood that there will be no preaching or very little to non English speaking Indians and when there is the jws there will have to use old out dated copies of brochures etc.
This is proof in my opinion that the cult only cares for areas of the world where they can make a return on investment via money or real estate.

A bunch of poor people that can't afford a tablet going out to show videos to people that can't afford to ever buy one themselves. More spin, take the fact that thier not supporting these people anymore and make it look like thier doing so great with out the litature. I'm sure know ones being told that all the videos are probably in English so the people may not understand them either.

Why ex-JW's so knowledgeable when it comes to the Bible?
by James Mixon inover the years here on this site i have found over half of the folks can hold their own with any minister.. why when we leave the borg we become proficient on any subject on the bible.. why did we go down that road?
my intention was to get close to jehovah (searching the bible), but i. guess i found lucifer.
i'am ask all the time, how did you go from a true believer to calling the bible a book.
