Yes and how many times has the earth been hit by big asteroids? There's even some speculation that the moon itself has collided with the earth.

"If the Earth were just a little bit further from or closer to the Sun, we would all freeze or burn"
by Island Man ini'm sure we've all heard this argument by theists employing the fine-tuning argument.
are you aware, however, of exactly how much this "little bit" really is?
theists would have us think that the slightest change in the distance would have drastic implications for survivability.

People hate God?
by looter init is a pain that certain individuals pride themselves on hating god, who created everything.
like it's understandable that you choose to not believe in him because of your selfishness or thinking skills but to hate him is forcing it a bit.
i'm very thankful that those such as myself have the courage to believe in the lord.

I have a child that has what is known as the most painful condition on earth. I watched her suffer and almost die more then once. I would sand out side her bedroom door listening through the door at night to make sure she was still alive or breathing. God did nothing, God didn't help her help her pain or gives us a cure or cure her himself. If I saw a person in pain even a stranger and could help in anyway I would instantly! God did nothing! I have more love in my smallest finger then God does in his whole being. I am better then God and yes I do hate him he's a prick !!!!!!!

Prophecy; "Food At The Proper Time"? ...or food for the BEAST?
by apocalypse inwatchtower literature, according to watchtower dogma, is not mere 'literature'... like any other literature from some "worldly" source, ...but rather it is "spiritual food" given by christ's appointed "slave" at "the proper time" and in fulfillment of bible prophecy.
(matthew 24:45-47).
this is the claim.

Did the flood happen?
by BlackWolf inso we were talking about noah for our family worship tonight and it ended with a little debate between me and my parents about how the flood was possible.
you know, where did the water come from, how did all the animals fit, etc.
of course it led nowhere and my parents came up with some strange theories like that there was "an expanse of water in the sky" and that's where all the water came from.

800,000 years of ice cores samples from the South Pole say no flood effected that area of the world. Pyramids built before the flood and still standing today show that part of the world not effected. Trees older then 4400 years in Europe , North America , and Tasmania show no flood effected that area of the world. Ancient cities older then 4400 years in Mesopotamia, Africa, Iran, turkey and Syria show no signs of water damage so no flood in these places. Roughly 2600 BCE a flood seems to have effected an area in southern Mesopotamia near the gulf, so maybe this is the flood that's talked about in the three main flood stories.

Another trinity thing
by Mozzie ini have gone through the ones on here, i have read so much about it and everyone seems to have a different idea as to what the creed actually came up with in the sense of explaining it, religious leaders from most denominations seem to try to explain it and are all different, it does your head in just trying to read half their stuff.
when i was going door to door, i knew how to argue against it, but now trying to learn about it.. i was reading an article of the net about this and how christ emptied himself of all deity and that, but with all the statements made and arguments to and for it, one question was brought up.
when jesus was asked by his disciples about the time of the end, jesus replied neither i nor the angels know the hour, only the father.

Read the book of Enoch , this book is older and talks about three separate dieties including the son of man. Then read what some of the early Gnostics were thinking and I think you'll get a better idea of the whole subject in a more accurate way

Sun,moon, earth and mathematics .
by atomant injust thought id let you all in on some info i found on northeasttruth.com.
that magical moment where the moon blocks out the sun!
but only just enough to perfectly cover the suns disc, whilst still allowing us to see the corona of light and other electromagnetic forces radiating from it.. this only happens because the moon diameter is exactly 1/400th the size of the suns and is positioned at exactly 1/400th of the distance between earth and the sun!so, when we see it from the surface of earth, we are in the only place this can ever be seen, at the only time it could ever happen.

Yep these numbers must prove there's a God. Tsunamis , eruptions, earthquakes must prove that this God didn't do it right.

Isaiah 7:14 is a prophecy about the messiah whose name is Immanuel, so why the name Jesus ?
by smiddy inmaybe i`m getting old and senile , but i was thinking about something that used to nag at the back of my brain when i was "in" , wasn`t the messiah to be called immanuel ?
according to isa.7:14 and not jesus ?.
why was the name immanuel substituted with the name jesus .?.

I have read somewhere that this prophecy was about the coming of Isaiah son and had nothing to do with a future 1century messiah. I also have read that the Jews never thought the messiah was going to be the son of a god just a king like man that would deliver them from thier oppressors like Cyrus .
