Yep the great God of love does nothing for mankind when in need. That picture of that poor baby in Africa about to die with a vulchur waiting to eat him was very telling for me. Witnesses are really out of touch thier pathetic! My daughter was very sick over the last couple of years and couldn't go to meetings. The friends her close friends stopped coming around and when she was off getting treatment a while ago not one person from her congregation called her. Of course when she got home and was healthy enough to go to her first meeting in a long time they were so excited to see her. Bastards!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 52 years a Watchtower slave 9/11 gave me the push I needed to get out.
by new boy ini turned in my letter of disassociation on september 18, 2001 but it was 9/11 that showed me what the witnesses really feel about human lives and the future wished for.. i was in limbo after my wife of 27 years left me on july 30, 2001. she knew i wasn't buying the jw program anymore.
she told me she come back to me when "i got my head straighten out about god and the church".. so for 40 days i was in limbo.
i stopped going to meetings.

by EdenOne ini have just read an interesting article by astrobiologist jacob haq-misra.. in this article he describes a process called "directed panspermia" as a plausible way that one form of intelligent design - one not related with religious driven agendas involving theism - could be involved in the process by which life developed on earth and possibly in other planets as well.. sounds like a speculation that's worth entertaining.

I like the idea of intelligent design. Maybe life was easier to start on another planet and once it did this life evolved to a piont that it was able to take live organisms or bacteria to other planets.

If this is real it just proves the model for the Borg is to just suck the rank and file dry for as long as possible. Japan is a dying country for jws so why bother with spending money over there. Same with India and other countries like in Africa were there's no profit for them . Even in places were they do spend money it's on real estate and those properties look like they can easily be sold and made in to McDonald's or Starbucks or something similar .

The bible says it's ok to rape virgin girls and unbetrothered woman. It's also ok to have slaves and if thier not Jews beat them to death, if they are a Jew you can beat them almost to death. If they die a day or two later that's ok. People need to push these facts back these guys faces!

Going back gives them power over you or at least they and everyone in the congregation will think so. Move on with your life and think of this as just a bad experience. Go join some loving group or even a non denominational church that doesn't judge you on your looks your clothing and your personality.

one of the doctrines that has puzzled me for some time is the armageddon prediction of 1975. why would the wts make this prediction?
what was their real purpose?.

Let me add that the original 1975 idea was put forth by Armstrong the leader of the world wide church of god. Fred Franz stole the idea. I'm not sure if this means anything or can add to the discussion but i thought it should be mentioned.
