  I know people that sold off thier business and home to go preach till 1975. I know two highschool girls at the time that dropped out and pioneered to spread the world before the end in 1975. My parents got baptized right before 1975 and my mother managed to talk her mother in to getting baptised just in time during the summer of 1975.

  Oh and to go along with flipper, my father is dead and my grandmother died just a couple months ago. Yep two out of the three never tasted the promises of the watchtower.

  Are jehovahs witnesses blood guilty for teaching and preaching false doctrine?

  lm curious to know how others feel about this subject.for me its blatently obvious the gb make things up as time passes by and the sheep bow down with blind obedience without questioning.lts like the blind leading the blind..

  jehovah's witnesses are taught (and believe) by their hierarchy in brooklyn that the name of their religion is based on the bible itself.

  a little bit of research comprehensively reveals that the statement which was written in isaiah 43:10 about the jewish nation 700 years before christians appeared, has been corruptly and un-scripturally adopted as a "god-given" name.

  To go along with Blondies first post, the scripture they refer to in Jeremiah is about Israel and the god of the Israelites was named El , IsraEl.

  for anyone who denies that the wtbts teaches jehovah's witnesses & potential converts lies and perversions of scriptures via their literature, here is a prime example:

  w88 2/15 p. 9 further corrective counsel - "but because of human imperfection, at times serious disputes will occur.

  jesus also provides guidelines for handling them.

  If you believe in the Bible then the book makes it clear that Jesus is the good news of the kingdom. That fact that he died and was raised so we to can be raised is the good news 1corthinians chapter 15. The jws preach a different message so per Galatians chapter one they are cursed at the very least. Also since they state that one must be part of thier organization and follow them in order to get salvation im sure there is other teachings that condemn them on this as well.

  Theists, why does God allow suffering..

  ..specifically, the suffering of animals.

  you can talk about free will/sin/people choosing to not listen to god etc to explain human suffering being allowed.. but how can you love a god that allows animals, that haven't sinned or chosen to not have anything to do with god, to have their short lives ended in often long, drawn out, painful ways.

  i could list stories i've read that would probably make you feel ill, but i'm not looking to shock anyone or start an emotional debate.

  The whole idea of god permitting sufferering is complete bullshit. This is how humans make excuses for thier deity not doing a damn thing instead of realizing he either doesn't exist or doesn't care.

  i recently spoke to an old friend of mine who is still under the clutches of the watchtower.

  a while back, i had told him about all the child sex abuse coverups, false prophecies, false doctrines etc.

  he was really shocked and surprised.

  Are witnesses even trying anymore?

  havent had an encounter with a witness in a while, almost 10 years, though at this point i could run circles around them in the scriptures, this encounter was very strange.

  was eating with my son at a coffee shop, guy comes up using it as an opening.

  i'm use to this because people find my son beautiful so i was open to him.

  Had two brothers at a gas station approaching people while they were getting gas . One of them approached me and tried to hand me a tract while inviting me to his hall. The tract could fit inside the palm of my hand it looked that small. They keep publishers busy and yet the publishers don't even realize thier work is a total waste of time.
