So true it's not about helping people in to the Truff but the hours. 1 bible study is great but ten useless hours is better.

Observations from an Ex-Elder Part 1
by doubtfull1799 ini was thinking about the fog model this morning, particularly about the "obligation" part.
my mind went back to the last elders school i went to.
one of the parts in the section on appointments was discussing how we should not place too high a bar (human standards) for brothers to try and jump over when we are considering them for appointment as a ministerial servant.

It's right there in our faces, how could we NOT see it?
by NikL ini know there have been many many posts on here over the years on the deity of jesus.. i am submitting this one because i am feeling a little confused.. the thing is, i am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and i know this.
so when i am going through my bible reading (to all you haters, yes i still do it) i see so many scriptures that just fly in the face of everything the jws teach about jesus.. i begin to wonder if indeed i am diseased in the mind ,as they will try to paint me, because it seems so plain to me.. i never even gave it a though growing up as to if jesus and god were equal.
i just didn't.. now when i read scriptures like philippians 9.... 9 for this very reason, god exalted him to a superior position+ and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name,+ 10 so that in the name of jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground+— 11 and every tongue should openly acknowledge that jesus christ is lord+ to the glory of god the father.. .

Jesus is the new god being pushed by the New Testament writers there is even scriptures stating he is god. The thing is christianity was never really monotheistic until much later, the son is like the father later becoming the father or similar to the father i.e. The trinity is born. But the trinity is not new either goes back to ancient Egypt and Sumeria. The thing to remember is jesus is the new god in town, same as the older gods but with a new name and he is the god the Romans after 325ce pushed on everyone as the states endorsed religion. So yes Jesus is the god we are truly to worship if your a Christian.

This damn cult stole all my dreams and aspirations. Started working full time at age 14 and education was not needed of course because the end was so close. I'm now 50 years old and have busted my ass to get what I have. Aggressiveness and an entrepreneurial mentality is the only thing that made me more successful at earning money then most.
Do to my wife's stupidity I fear all my kids will be earning minimum wage for years when thier old enough to work and suffer like so many do and have in the cult. My father and father in law and mother in law all died destitute. This cult really sucks!!!!

Pretty much every country in the world treats people trying to get in to thier country this way. Only the US makes it easy, this and all the good jobs being sent over seas will be the down fall of this countries economy.

Sorry to rain on your parade but paradise was an invention of the ancient Egyptians, they called it the field of reeds. The Greeks copied this idea and called paradise Elysian. Pretty much everything Christian has its roots in Egypt. Baptism, circumcision, anointing, spirit, afterlife, heaven, judgment of ones heart, 10 commandments, etc all come from the Egyptian religion.

Judge sanctions WTS - $4k per day penalty for not producing sex abuse documents
by Simon injudge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

Does seem really odd that the judge still hasn't raised the daily amount yet.

I saw two huddled under an umbrella during a rain storm last week. No one was out walking around and no one was even out in the storm except these two idiots! Sad that they can be so brain washed in to thinking they are doing anything for a God

That letter Berry is referencing is to keep elders away from those that have left or been DFD so as to not have them the elder be influenced by these ones. The cult can only lie and get away with it if the ones they lie to have no other source of information! This is in no way a letter telling people the DFDing arrangement is done!
