Go back and read about Solomon s gold mines and his building of the temple. See according to all the measurements how small the temple would of been . How 10,000 people per day could work on such a small building with 150,000 support staff and yet it still take 7 years. Figure out how much gold and silver was to be there and how impossible that was. Then compare the temple and it's construction and ask yourself why the god of the universe temple looks just like some of those built in Egypt and Arn Dara Syria?

for the most-part, i don't really want to believe the bible as true, certainly not the j.w version including their stubbornness over 607 and 1914. but there's one prophecy that always makes me stop and wonder if maybe some of the bible was inspired by god, if he or she exists.

The exodus Moses story has a lot of elements of Egyptian god mythology in it. Moses is told gods name is I am that I am, yet the word were told is the word for "that" is very similar to one of the names of Osiris. Osiris was also born or came from MT Sinai . The Ten Commandments mostly come from the 42 negative confessions of the Osirisian cult. Moses after seeing god has what would seem like two horns or rays of light coming from his head, this could be a reference to the God Amun.
Another thing to note is the ark is very much an Egyptian Bark. A box the Egyptians used to carry around certain gods from one temple to the next during festivals etc.. We will probably never know who wrote this exodus story but it's a pretty god fairy tale of a story as long as you don't take it seriously.

ironically, proponents of untruth may call truth-seekers as apostates, thus making the term meaningless.. for example, paul, the greatest of all apostles, taught untruth (stood away from truth) [see his main teaching in romans 5:12-21] even though he had known the following truths:.
1) all humans did not become sinners through one man (genesis 5:24; job 1:8; psalm 18:23; ezekiel 14:14 and compare habakkuk 2:4), hence there was no need for anyone to pay ransom.. 2) in the old testament, the messiah refers to a “prince of peace” who literally rules from jerusalem, not merely anointed to the office to do the work in some distant future and get killed before that future occurs.

There's so many problems with the Bible it's just plain crazy! There's evidence in the earliest writings like the book of John that Jesus didn't die . For example the piercing of his side was added from Mathews wasn't there in earlier texts.
Older bibles also do have jesus ascending to heaven in the gospels making the book of acts very suspect. Earlier Old Testament writting pointing to a messiah were of a conquere not a man to be slaughtered. Most of Mathews quotes about Jesus fulfilling an Old Testament prophecies are wrong either they were not a prophecy or they were a prophecy about the nation of Israel not a messiah.

Elder lying to me about a child molester.
by karter ini was talking to an elder recently about all sorts of things non j.w related.. he said something about a guy in his congregation who is related to my ex wife and molested a little girl.. i said " i don't want to hear anything about that guy after what he did".
elder"i dont know what he did".

Just need to vent a little
by Phoebe inin the last week i have had three visits from brothers.
so 6 witnesses in all as they come in pairs.
now considering i used to go to the meetings, sit by myself and literally no one talked to me - ever - why the concern all of a sudden?.

It's just their job, their encouraged to go to ones homes that have stopped going to try and get you back. Of course if they think your an apostate they'll avoid you like the plague . So yes if you go back they may live bomb you for a minute then it will go right back to the way it was .

X/LDS vs X/JW!!!Who is more twisted and bitter.

in reading x-mo forums i get the impression that they tend to be not as bitter and as twisted as xjw.
this is surprising as i think the lds is a bigger con than the jws.

What's disgusting is how the courts aren't doing a damn thing to force the cult to comply. It's becoming all to common since the year 2000 that corporations don't have to do a damn thing or get away with some pretty evil crap and the courts are overwhelmingly siding with them over citizens.
