I don’t know if these scriptures t were brought up by another member but Romans chapter 14 and the book of Colossians both say celebrating a holiday is ok and up to the persons conscience. You can also bring out that the JWs say it’s ok for Mexicans to use a piñata which has pagan orgins back to the Aztecs and sun worship as well as human sacrifice.
The cult is hypocritical and just takes scriptures they want out of the Bible to make them fit their doctrine ignoring others !

There’s other graphs that show from year to year numbers they report that they loose almost as many as they report being baptized. I willing to bet that any actual new baptized ones are from third world countries and are replacing ones leaving in the rest of the world. In twenty years this will be a cult mostly of Africans.

there is much more emphasis placed on parents to get their own children baptized rather than focusing on bible students.
they try to impress on others the need for urgency.

Constantly beating down the members and their attitude towards children prove they do not have any themselves and have zero clue how to treat them.
Also this article and their constant push to get young ones baptized proves to me that they are not growing like they claim but loosing members and therefore are trying to get as many children baptized as possible so they become trapped in the cult.

Yep Brokeback, they lie about everything else why in the hell would anyone believe these numbers . And let’s not forget that these supposed baptized ones were once publishers , in fact they were publishers right up until they got baptized so last year they were counted twice.

So my PIMO Younger Brother Tried To Kill Himself Today
by pale.emperor inwe all know that this cult will drive those trying to leave to desperate measures, and today by brother was very nearly one of those statistics.
he slashed his thigh with a kitchen knife and was bleeding out until he called the police.. i got a call on my way home from work from a police officer, coincidentally it was one of my old friends from school who's now a cop.
he told me my brother is in hospital after an attempted suicide and has lost some blood but will be ok. but i should get to the hospital as he's asking for me.

I also suggest you stop asking your mother or any JW about your brothers condition. Call the hospital where he’s at or go by and visit as much as possible, show him your there for him, even if you can’t say much just hold his hand and be there. He will see your love while he sees your mother’s insanity.

Sounds to me like you didn’t do your brother any favors by informing your family he was in the hospital. In hindsight if you had gone to your brothers side with out them knowing you could of had a conversation with him and found out what he’s really thinking and could maybe been of some real help. I hope you can come up with a strategy to help your brother through all this bull shit!

There’s plenty of scriptures where it says it’s ok to shun someone if they don’t go along with your ideas. Just found another one in the book of Titus. As long as people take the Bible seriously theres going to be people shunning , yelling , fighting and killing one another!
