  i recently saw on a website where a guy i know posted a link to a video by graham hancock.

  now this guy is a nutjob kind of like the ancient alien guys.

  this pyramid has been a fascination of crackpots for years.

  Not sure if Graham Hancock is using a random number as a divisor, I believe it’s pie rounded up. Anyway I’m not sure but some of the things about the pyramid are very intriguing.

  Graham was one of the first to basically state that he believes that there was earlier civilizations before the Sumerians and the Egyptians. Well there seems to evidence that he was right. Civilizations in India have been found that look to date older. Sunken cities off the coast of India and also remains found around an old dried up river bed seem to indicate he was right. Remains found in Turkey, Iran and Egypt found in the last 20 years again seem to indicate he was right. More and more evidence keeps popping up that indicate humans have been around and able to build things going back much further then 5-6-8000 years.

  Anyone pissed at their parents for raising you in the cult?

  my mother was not the most emotionally stable person.

  she was a follower and instilled in me the idea we were better than those worldly people.

  its hard to go to school as a child and you can not be friends outside of school, you can not celebrate any holidays, and you are told all these people are going to die.

  Shot off a TON of Fireworks for the 4th of July, did anybody else?

  i just finally settled down for the night, as its 1 a.m. in the morning, est, right now.

  i finally cleaned up my yard a bit, and a few friends that were over have left.. anyway, i bought about $1,000 dollars worth of fireworks to shoot off for the 4th.

  i had sooo much sh%t, i didnt think i was gonna shoot anywhere near as much as i did, but, between me and 2 buddies, we shot off like 85% of it.. literally for an hour and a half we were shooting non stop, sometimes 3 or 4 heavy mortars at once, without a break.

  he'll likely only be here for a few days like most jw defenders before he runs away when presented with his own doctrine.. so far he's already said some hilarious stuff, like "there's no such thing as nepotism in jehovah's organisation", "confidentiality is paramount to elders" and, my personal favourite "the overlapping generation is so simple to understand".. yh don't think i don't remember you from jwtalk..

  Just do yourself a favor and keep studying JTrottigy. Most here are considered apostates but I can guarantee you one thing we studied more then most of not all active JWs, that’s why we’re here. As you can tell I choose the name Crazyguy, I did so because most of my congregation probably believe I’m crazy. But here’s a fact , I wrote a 14 page letter outlining how what the GB teach about ‘who jesus is the mediator for’ and how it’s wrong and not only could not my elders prove me wrong but neither could the WT for their letter response was just a “we believe believe and if we change will publish it” lame response.

  I did the same thing with their blood death policy and again could not be proven wrong. So please do your do diligence, not for us but for you.

  i'm an atheist as i do not see any evidence for the existance of a god.

  i encourage critical thinking in everyone and am ready to debate anyone on whether or not there is a god and what that god might be like.

  Kingdom Hall a total loss after 2nd fire in months

  olympia, wash. -- authorities are investigating the second fire in a matter of months at a jehovah's witness kingdom hall in olympia.. the fire started just after 3:00 a.m. at cain rd se and 22nd se, according to the olympia fire department.

  nobody was inside at the time.. roads near the building were shut down as firefighters investigated.

  The 'IN' families

  one thing i don't miss about being a jobo, is those families that ruled the congregations.. i've seen how the elders protected their own using our old friend, nepotism.. eg.

  the son of an elder that stole a car and was prosecuted but 'let off' because it was kept secret and all his relatives were elders in the same congregation.

  it certainly went on when i was an elder but i wasn't one of the 'in' crowd.
