Your giving the writings in the bible way to much credibility. Your saying in that the Noah story written roughly 500 bc is more accurate then the two or three that came a thousand years or more before it which would put these stories closer to Noah. So Noah tells his story to his offspring they get it wrong for a thousand years or more then all of a sudden at about 500 bc a Jewish writer gets is right somehow. Yet these same Jewish writers state that god created the vegetation before the Sun and made several more discrepancies in the creation story. And lets not forget how imposable the Noah's story is with millions of different animals and insects etc on a 450-500 foot boat for a year where one would need to store up over 500 tons of food just for the elephants alone.
I need to go smoke a joint or something so I can get on your wave length or something before we can continue with this conversation.

I would say in your last response to me that If Solomon did exist he was an Egyptian king and not a Jewish one. The Egyptians ruled the Levant during either timeline you chose and there is plenty of evidence that some of the cities mentioned in the bible and surmised to be in the Levant were and are actually in Egypt. So again if Solomon was and Egyptian King which is more plausible in my opinion then where does that leave the Jews? Still just a small back water loose coalition of peoples living in Judea an area unable to support the kind of population needed back then to do anything that the Jews claimed David and his Son Solomon did. -

You may be on to something about the constellation Virgo, but Satan is no woman. The idea of Lilith comes form the fact that there are two creations stories in Genesis and some think that another woman was the first. No proof of this in any older writings of another woman. The more accurate theory is that there was two sets of gods created the higher gods then the Watchers or Ananakki, which were created first then man. If you read all the stories that were originally from Sumeria its the God Enki that's the trickster god and the god of knowledge. He is the one that actually created man with the help of a female goddess. He is also the one that warns Gilgamesh of the flood about to be unleashed on mankind by Enlil and also the god that confuses the language of a city in Sumerian.
One can say the newer stories as told by the Jews are the more accurate ones but I say that person is delusional because the Jewish stories basically combine both the gods Enlil and Enki in to one personality. This is why in the biblical writings, God can be so loving in one verse then turn around and condemn a person because of what his ancestor did several generation's earlier.

What kind of errors in the Bible?
by TheWonderofYou inthe new testament specialist daniel wallace notes that although there are about 300,000 individual variations of the text of the new testament, this number is very misleading.
most of the differences are completely inconsequential--spelling errors, inverted phrases and the like.
a side by side comparison between the two main text families (the majority text and the modern critical text) shows agreement a full 98% of the time.[18].

This is pure bullshit, Matthew's stories and Luke's about the Jesus birth are completely different and there's obvious problems with people being mentioned that were not alive when others were yet the writer's say they were both alive at the same time. This writer is clearly whoring himself out to the Christian audience and cares nothing for accuracy! -

Just a short observation on self inflicted misery.
by Human Being ini used to post on this site a few years back but after moving on personally and being shunned by my only remaining family member for the last 4-5 years i the j.w's became just background noise to me.
yet yesterday something happened that brought back to me the degree of control this cult has over it's members.
a new wall mart recently opened in my little mountain town here in northern georgia, u.s. as i headed across the parking lot on my way into the store the heat was intense, wit a humidity factor of around 90%.

I think Genesis 3:15 may have something to do with the battle between Tiamat and Marduk. Tiamat is a woman creator mother of all goddess and she has her followers. Marduk is the god that is going to do battle with her and he of course has the other gods on his side. Satan is the representation of the adversary of Enlil the sky god. Satan is actually Enki, Enlil's half brother. Its Enlil that later wants to kill all mankind and Enki who warns Noah and tells him to build a boat.
Almost all the stories in Genesis are taken from older Sumerian/Akkadian/Babylonian stories.
LorenzoSmithXVII its great to have another to post her on this forum welcome, but I have to disagree with you on this idea that Solomon did exist and Finkelstien doesn't know what he's talking about. More then one archeologist believes the building's at Gezer, Megiddo etc. were built by Egyptians and not Solomon. Virtually nothing of Solomon's has ever been found, not his gold minds or his temple, nothing. Even his timeline conflicts with known timelines of the Egyptians kings and their ruler ship over the area known and Canaan.

Whose God are you worshipping??
by Crazyguy inin the early writings of the bible its mentioned that the israelites worshiped false gods, gods of the stars and other celestial bodies.
ezekiel even bloviates against this in his writings and king josiah is said to have abolish these practices.
jeremiah mentions that god would even destroy the city were sun worship was being practiced a place called bethshemesh in egypt.

Helios is a later name for an older God RA, even the Egyptians changed the name of thier God's at times. This name was the Greek name for the Egyptian God. Here's the problem, I have learned that most of the writings were either legends and myths the Jews made up or took from other civilizations. I don't think you completely agree with me on this. You believe in a king named David I assume, I see him as nothing more then legend same as his son Solomon. You may believe in the exodus and the ten commandments. I don't believe the exodus happened the way it was written and the ten commandments most were take from the negative confessions from the Book of the Dead. You probably believe yhwh is the name for your God in a way. I believe if this is true this God was Ea, Enki, El all the same guy or possible yhwh stands for a family of God's the Supreme or high God's in the pantheon of Sumeria. It's a proven fact that the Israelites worshipped El, Asherah and Baal Hadad as well as other gods. The god that approached moses in the story said he was the god of the patriarchs which means he's El. -

I'm totally willing to learn the facts and the real truth as was really written. The thing is that there's a conspiracy to cover up the real writing I believe as well as mistraslations etc. One example is the early writing of Genesis it says 'God created the heavens and the earth'. Well the accurate translation is 'the gods created the sky and the earth'. Anyway my first post about early historians reporting that the Jews worshiped Helios, I stand by this and you can verify yourself, but yes when it comes to the Bible many things are written incorrectly. -

Another update I noticed in the bible at Nehemiah 8:17 that Joshua's father was named Nun. Well no big deal right, except that the father of Amen-Ra was the God Nun. Wasn't Jesus name in Aramaic also Joshua?
Revelation 3:14
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.
Amen who?
And they call me Crazy!
