This is funny! BAR article asks: "Was Eve Made from Adam’s Rib—or His Baculum?" But what is a Baculum?
by fulltimestudent inwe all know the bible story (as its translated into english) that eve was made from adam's rib.
now bible scholar, ziony zevit, distinguished professor of biblical literature and northwest semitic languages at american jewish university in bel-air, california has written in the 'biblical archeological review' that the hebrew word that is traditionally translated as rib which is 'istsela has been wrongly translated.. zevit says, "it was first translated as rib in the septuagint, a greek translation of the hebrew bible from the mid-third century b.c.e.
however, a more careful reading of the hebrew word for rib in the adam and eve story suggests that eve was created from another, very different, part of adams anatomyhis os baculum (penis bone).".

You maybe write Caleb, about the word not meaning rib, but the story predates any writings the Hebrews ever had concerning the subject of creation. The Sumerian, akkadians, Babylonians all predate any Hebrews or Jew's by thousands of years. Pretty much everything the Jews have concerning religion they stole from their neighbors including the old Testament. -

Tell her it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that you have to be a jw to get it to the Kingdom of god that's just propaganda that all churches use to try to keep their members. -

There's an old Babylonian story where a god Enki with the help of a goddess make mankind. She takes a rib, and forms man with it. I can't remember where she gets the rip, maybe it was from Enki . In an older story they the other gods kill a god to make man, anyway it's this rib story from Babylon where I'm willing to bet they came up with the rib from Adam. -

I wonder what the percentage rate of the growth is for the Mormon church? I think a lot less young ones leave , maybe I'm wrong but if I'm right then it would be a good indicator of what percentage of young ones leave the JWs. -

According to the Bible the god of Abraham was introduced to him by Melcizadek. He was the leader of the town of Jerusalem we are to believe. Yet the town was named after a god named Salim, so this is odd. And in the Moses story the god seems to be that of a Mideonite god. I believe several books in the Bible may be speaking of a different god. Genesis is a telling of the older Emu Elish which is about several gods. Exodus could be about a Medeonite god. The psalms has writings similar to that of Marduk and one or more gods from Egypt. Hosea and some of the minor prophets also write as if their god is from Egypt. In the book of John Jesus was written as saying to the Jewish leaders "you don't know who my father is." And in the book of Revelations the god Amen is mentioned as if he is Jesus. I'm starting to think all these writings were gathered together and then redacted to make them fit in to an idea that their all writing's about just one God.

Remember the two elderly sisters?
by John Aquila inabout a month ago i posted what had happened to two elderly sisters who were reprimanded by a couple of elders for crying because the jw broadcasting was going to be stopped at the kingdom hall and it was up to each publisher to learn how to use the internet.
if you recall the sisters got together with my mom and talked about it and it resulted in all of them declining to make meals for the pioneers.
here is the link.
