4 versions of Jesus resurrection- all different
by purrpurr ini've been reading more and studying about the bible .
it was brought to my notice that out of the four different versions of jesus resurrection they do not back each other up.
instead they contradict each other a lot.

There's so many Bible contradictions and mistakes it's not even funny. How about the fact that there was two leaders of the Jewish temple so it says but history show one died before the other and never has there been two high priests at the same time. And in the story of the reserection in one book Mary and some woman are told to tell the apostles to meet Jesus in Jerusalem in another account tell them to meet him in gallee and in another they run off scared and don't tell anyone. Also look at who finds Jesus gone, in each account it's different people. -

i feel more confused than ever
by BlackWolf inwell i know i've been posting a lot of topics like this lately and i'm sorry if i sound whiny or annoying.
my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.
i told them i don't believe in god or the bible because i don't have any evidence of anything.

Your on the right track and be happy that you are. Google contradictions in the Bible then Google Bible prophecies that did not come true. You'll realize the Bible is not what you think it's is. -

There is a lot of evidence that the Cannanites switched from El to worshiping baal Hadad and he was a warrior God weather God and fertility God. There is writings in the Bible that discribe him to a tee as being some of the attributes of yehweh. He also takes on the same wife asherah. I believe yehweh is both gods a may have even assimilated the attributes of Asherah.

Show your mom to make her feel better Mark7:18 where Jesus says nothing eaten by a man can defile him. Also Matt 12:7 where Jesus says 'we desire mercy not sacrifice' -

Just go along to get along until your old enough and able to move out. In the mean time focus on your education. The average jw is broke and stupid. -

This is funny! BAR article asks: "Was Eve Made from Adam’s Rib—or His Baculum?" But what is a Baculum?
by fulltimestudent inwe all know the bible story (as its translated into english) that eve was made from adam's rib.
now bible scholar, ziony zevit, distinguished professor of biblical literature and northwest semitic languages at american jewish university in bel-air, california has written in the 'biblical archeological review' that the hebrew word that is traditionally translated as rib which is 'istsela has been wrongly translated.. zevit says, "it was first translated as rib in the septuagint, a greek translation of the hebrew bible from the mid-third century b.c.e.
however, a more careful reading of the hebrew word for rib in the adam and eve story suggests that eve was created from another, very different, part of adams anatomyhis os baculum (penis bone).".

Caleb, if one reads the creation myths from Sumeria, and Babylon one will see that virtually everything in the book of Genesis was taken from these older stories. The ten commandments can be said to have been taken from the Negative confession s from the Egyptian book of the dead or Hammurabi s laws. Some of the proverbs and psalms were taken from writing s from an Assyrian court official and also from some of akknatens writing in Egypt. Several quotes from the old Testament are almost the same as quote from the Emu Elish, talking about Marduk. In the writings about El and his consort Asherah they had 70 offspring, several Bible characters had 70 children one being Gideon. Moses was put in a basket covered in pitch, one of Assyria's kings stated the same of himself and his writings are dated to be older then any exodus writings.
I could go on and on , the evidence is clear the Jews barrow ed most of their history and religion from others. The Christians did the same , the idea that one would die their spirit go to heaven and their heart condition being judged to see if the live forever in paradise, is from the Egyptians book of the dead.

I think the explanation I suggested is the best way to deflate the situation. It allows him away out shows some ttatt but also shows her a reasonable reason not to be so upset. -

You maybe write Caleb, about the word not meaning rib, but the story predates any writings the Hebrews ever had concerning the subject of creation. The Sumerian, akkadians, Babylonians all predate any Hebrews or Jew's by thousands of years. Pretty much everything the Jews have concerning religion they stole from their neighbors including the old Testament. -

Tell her it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that you have to be a jw to get it to the Kingdom of god that's just propaganda that all churches use to try to keep their members. -

There's an old Babylonian story where a god Enki with the help of a goddess make mankind. She takes a rib, and forms man with it. I can't remember where she gets the rip, maybe it was from Enki . In an older story they the other gods kill a god to make man, anyway it's this rib story from Babylon where I'm willing to bet they came up with the rib from Adam.
