  one of the businesses i cover is owned by jws and the father and 2 sons knew me as an active brother until 3 years ago when i told one of them i no longer attend the meeting.

  today the father and one of the sons asked me if i was still inactive.

  i told them it has been more than 5 years since i last been at a meeting.

  for those that believe in the flood story as genesis says, then they also are forced to accept a huge amount of evolution, way faster than any evolutionist would propose.. from a basic selection of "kinds", to the several millions of land species there are now, and in only about 4000 years.. not to mention the many types of birds that made it to remote islands, and then somehow lost their ability to fly... not even possessing wings( ex- dodo bird, moa).

  scientists agree this was a process that took eons of time.. i was thinking of this because we just had a public talk on noah.

  i sure couldn't make a fool of myself on that subject, going on how "factual" it all is..

  Just thought of this flaw in the story. As we know most water is salt water. After the flood one would expect all fresh water lakes and ponds to be filled with salt water. So how long does it take to filter out salt naturally and how many lakes would possibly never be filtered and remain saltwater lakes? How many animals would die for lack of fresh water since all lakes were saltwater for a time.

  What is happening in India?

  i read a thread recently that spoke of the wt ceasing to print watchtower and awake mags in india.

  does anyone know if there is any substance/documentation to that claim?

  The WT has pulled the plug on third world countries they don't care. If the religion can get more followers in a third world country do to the peoples efforts, those that live their fine but all expenses will also be on the backs of these people.

  No One on GB Anointed

  what if no one on the governing body is truly anointed?

  what if they just proclaim they are anointed and partake in order to gain authority, but they are not anointed?

  what will happen to them when they die?

  The Bible says that only Jesus was anointed. His followers we're part of the body of Christ therefore being of his body they enjoyed his anointing. There is no favoritism with God and all those that believe in Christ are gods sons no distinction.

  Over night evolution, when the animals got in the Ark that ate vegetation after the got out they started eating each other. All the animals that didn't eat meat must have eaten manna from heaven. But the most important part ofbthe story is god got to eat BBQ chicken. So I guess the Ark was just a big refrigerator.

  Elder harassed my mom and asked for donation

  my mom had surgery last month and she developed complication and had to be on antibiotics to treat infection.

  so, she is recovering slowly, but things was tough on her and she was not attending kh or went to assembly two weeks ago.

  nonetheless, elder showed up at her place and instead providing her with comfort he started to harass her that her faith is weak, she does not put trust in jah, etc.

  This elder that's looking to collect is really aggresive, wonder if he puts some of the money he collects in his pocket. Never heard of an elder being so aggressive about donating.

  i was just thinking today if china opened it doors to wt, and there was the surge of interest as was the the case with the european eastern block countries when communism 1st fell.

  what would be wt reaction toward it.

  could wt even afford to proselytise in china.

  If the doors we're allowed open the fact is that the overwelming majority of people signing up to become Christians would sign up with religions that help them financially. Thats not the Borg so growth would be just incidental.

  i'm a dub proctologist.... attempting to hijack greatteacher's thread "jw parents in severe car accident,".

  diogenesister seized my observation that "bloodless surgery is the standard today, not because of the wtb&ts but because of medical progress" with he carefully-crafted argument "bull crap.".

  Bottom line bloodless doesn't see really mean bloodless. If ones own blood is used or fractions or bovine blood is used it's still called bloodless.

  i don`t know if this has been addressed before , however it appears there is an inconsistency and a big one at that with the practice of shunning with jw`s.

  elders / ministerial servants look out for the spiritual health of the congregation , and if they see something they feel is detrimental to the spiritual health of the congregation they are going to act to rectify it, .

  they take appropiate action where they think is necessary .
