  i read it back when i first started to wake up in 08 and am now just rereading it.

  to me it is just amazing how much it parallels jws well any religion that people abuse..

  the disdain which the wtbts / gbojw has for higher education is well known among jw's and jw dissenters.

  the specious rationale for such disdain is also well known.

  however, it is a fact that there is no scriptural authority for..... a) prohibiting education at any level for another person.

  Sad and for those still, I would recommend getting the names and congregations of the elders that show up and start butting their noses in. Then threaten them with a lawsuit. I would also tell the doctors not to let the elders come around.

  How do you tell your spouse you no longer believe in God?

  so i was hoping to get some insight on this subject of telling your spouse that you no longer believe in god.

  for two people who have been jehovahs witnesses for 20 years together, talking about this seems to be real hard for me.

  i still pray with my wife before meals but that's about it.

  Does the WT still use Zech.8:23 as a last days prophecy ? In veiw of the fact (evidently) the numbers of converts are decreasing worldwide ?

  this is a scripture that was used a lot during the 70`s & 80`s proving that the end was so close,and it was to culminate in a grand influx before the great tribulation.

  " it will be in those days that ten men out of all the languages of the nations will take hold,yes ,they will actually take hold of the skirt of a man who is a jew,saying,"we will go with you people for we have heard that god is with you people.".

  when you look at the reality of the situation in this day....,their seems to be a marked decline in worldly converts in christendoms lands.....,mainly baptisms coming from young born ins,..... and certainly no marked increases from either asian, oriental, or other non christian lands,that would seem to indicate another failed prediction/prophecy we can credit to the f&ds class.

  Reminds me of apostatechick from a few years ago about being a human apostate. She's young and attractive and maybe this will help more to see her as a human and listen to her, I mean really listen, rather then just dismiss.

  Thanks for your story, take it slow is the best advice and I wish I would have really understood it before I did some of he things I did. When you realize you have been lied to you flinch away and that reaction sometimes can cause a lot of damage. Be happy you we're able to wake your family and you should share how you did it with your kids. Then since your family is awake maybe you can discuss what you should do with them. I think the most important part of waking up your kids is to then allow them to have the life and chase thier dreams the way we all should. This is my biggest regret being in this cult, not being able to. Welcome
