Help with fading, please...

i just left about six months ago and i'm going through the emotional whirlwind that comes with it.

i would really appreciate some advice on how to keep this fade from turning into my being disfellowshipped.

i'm another born in, third generation.

Just go slow and fade away , you don't even have to fade much. Just stop going to most of the meetings then all together. If an elder comes around blame it in your health or work or whatever. I know plenty of jws that have stopped and they are not harassed. Elders are lazy and don't really want to go out and talk to people that don't go. They just want to go to thier perfect little KH have thier ears tickled then go home.

2016 death of my father who told me don't come back if your a Witness...still hurts my soul! Warning you all!!

i last spoke to my father in march 1990. we finished a "quick build" kingdom hall and i had a 17 year old spiritual awakening and decided to drop high school to pioneer full time.

(yes i was a dumb ass) he was not happy since my parents were divorced he was catholic.

we had a arguement and he said stay in school get a degree...and dont come back if your a witness!!

That's sucks man really sucks, so sorry! I remember my dad being in his death bed and begging me to stay in so he could see us again in paradise. The cult made his life a real struggle , watching him die was horrible, this wasn't supposed to happen right!

These zombie elders get so rapped up in the procedures that any human decency goes right out the window. They forget about the teachings and illustrations of thier Christ. What about the good sumeritian or the prodigal son or to forgive 77 times . There is no mention of these illustrations in thier rule books or thier line of thinking. Even before I woke up I knew this kind of treatment was wrong!!!

I hope this young woman never went back and got her parents to see this crap is wrong.

How Detached Are The Governing Body From Members Of the Bethel Family Where They Live?

well consider for a moment the layoffs at bethel?

the gb simply reassigned them out in the field for after many years of service it seems with out batting an eye with no real severance pay.

now to me that spells detachment and lack of any real concern for those who served loyally for years.. spain is trying to get some type benefits for the people/citizens in their country who served the wt corporation for years and are no longer of any use to the corporation.

i think that few parts of the bible can make you atheist or at least agnostic or at least kill your belief in the bible as infallible or the work of a loving god as comparing 2 samuel 24 with 1 chronicles 21. most people focus on the 1st verse, but there are at least 4 major and 1 minor contradiction in the chapter (they are parallel accounts).in the new world translation, 2 samuel 24 starts like this:.

24 and again the anger of jehovah came to be hot against israel, when one incited david against them, saying: “go, take a count of israel and judah.” .

notice that it is an impersonal "one" who incited david to do the census.

Schnell, you mention that the Israelites were in fact originally Canaanites but you forgot to mention that Jehovah was originally the Canaanite God El then the Canaanites switched to primarily worshiping the fertility god Baal Hadad. The Israelites and the Jews did the same but somewhere along the line the Jews seemed to switch back to El or a new god. This new god absorbs all the powers and atributes of the Canaanite gods El, Baal , Ashtore and possibly even Asherah .

There also the story of David and Goliath. Does he David really kill Goliath because Saul doesn't seam to know who he is and in one part of the Bible indicates it's not David and even names the other guy. Also Saul offers his daughter to whom ever kills Goliath yet after David does the daughter issue doesn't come up till later when David is offered the daughter yet for another reason.

Then a real telling part of the story is after David supposedly kills Goliath he goes off to Jerusalem, but wait Jerusalem hasn't been conquered by David and is still under the control of the Jebusites. But it doesn't end there.

If one looks at Goliath's armor it not armor of a phillistine but of a Greek hoplite soldier of a few hundred years later. In fact some say this kind of armor made in this fashion didn't even exist during this timeline for they lacked the technology.

The casket is small so yeah dead child. It's really sad that the guy in the article has two remaining daughters and thier both still in the cult and still shun him. The fact that people's minds can be so easily controlled is one major reason that even if thier was a god thier could be no one religion.

Will Jehovah`s Witnesses join with other religions in Compensation Payouts ?

justice mcclellen asked g.jackson about compensation for victims of child abuse , and mcclellan suggested it be by a consortium of groups , presumably religious and secular in nature as a pool to dispense approppiate compensation to all of the victims involved .. g.jackson hesitated and said they would have to look at the details of that proposal , before committing to it.. jehovah`s witnesses consider themselves as the only true religion and ,all others as false religion .. they take pains to separate themselves from from any association with other religions , not even being included in newspaper notices about church services.they want to keep themselves separate and distinct from false religion as they see them.. so how do you think they will handle this suggestion / requirement ?

will they join in aligning themselves with "babylon the great" in compensation .?.

didn`t they align themselves with another religion in the u.s.a. some years ago , that had to do with the w.t.
