Now I'm Convinced There Probably Is No God

yesterday i made a visit to the museum in my city.

the top floor is the planetarium, which has a connecting room with a huge dome ceiling where they project lessons and lectures and you have a 360 view of the night sky etc.. this particular lecture explained about our galaxy, and how it's only one of billions in the universe.

and then we learned about each planet, some of their moons and the sun.

First time back in a KH in 8 months

so... one of my employees is a miserable servant and was giving the pt and invited me to come knowing full well i was faded out, i go along cos i respect him and thought why not, i must admit i was a little nervous headed back there (a neighboring hall not my old one) i saw alot of familiar faces and some old friends who were aware of my fade, all so pleased to see me at a meeting again and i can sum up how i felt about the experience like this.. .

have you ever been to a party and been the only sober person there and are totally aware of the ridiculous things said and going on?

that's what it felt like except the party would have been more fun of course,... all these good people, drunk off their heads on wt propaganda and false hopes, the irony was the talk was titled "does your life have meaning?".

I remember the last meeting I went to it was a funeral. I just wanted to get out of thier and all the bullshit so bad!!

i looked at the 2017 yearbook figures this morning, and it reminded me of something which happened in my former congregation 2 years ago.

it was a tiny foreign language congregation with at most 25-30 publishers.

comes and splits a 30 member congregation into....three.

I disagree if they were to put to much positive spin people would figure it out easily. The numbers they provide are discombobulated so as to keep ones confused just like the watchtower lessons where one paragraph contradicts the last one.

I believe the other thread that thier going over about the numbers in the new year book is a waste of time. Those number are just plain out of wack. They list that thier still growing but I think those numbers are just a delusion like when they use the word Truth. Everything they publish is bullshit including thier numbers.

Is the year 2020 the new prediction for Armageddon?

i have had a conversation this evening with a jw friend i have known since childhood.

he is of the opinion that armageddon will have come and gone within the next 5 years.

are the jws now pinpointing 2020 as the supposed year?

Real Estate Business?

i was going over some of the older posts of others and without starting some kind of flame war, i got no idea why people are saying that the society is some kind of real estate business.

of course its making millions of dollars in its real estate sales but this a one time event.

its down sizing by selling the furniture.

It may not have been thier intent at one time but I things have changed. Others would say otherwise.

Someone posted that thier was a area in Australia that had a major downturn in real estate values during Rutherfords time and he instructed the brothers thier with the Borgs money to buy buy buy.

Plus we know what happen with Beth Sarim. I think Beth Sarim was the idea originally for a place for Rutherford to stay but then they realized what they had accomplished.

This maybe can be confirmed in January 14 1975 when instead of spending thier money to tell the whole world that they only had a few months to live they bought the Towers Hotel in Brooklyn New York.

For me this is the smoking gun of thier true motivation. Plus a lot of thier newer transactions haven't been about Kingdom Halls but nice properties they call translation offices and the like.

someone just told my wife, that those who are just leaving organization or not going anymore will be dfed, has anyone read that or heard of that?

i have seen nothing of that, and according to jackson at royal commission, we are free to go as we please...

A friend of mine was wrongfully dfd. After he got reinstated he faded away and nothing has happen to him. Another friend saw the light after they mishandled his situation and he walked nothing happened to him. I know of a few others that stopped going for one reason or another and after being gone they are forgot about. I think this is the norm unless you make waves.

2017 Yearbook released

overall the numbers are better than last year (1.8% growth compared to 1.5% last year -- as i predicted ;-) ) with an increase in all major figures including 1300 more congregations (i assume this is not physical kingdom halls?).

There missing 119,456 publishers from last year if you look at the average publisher numbers. This seems low to me when you consider how many ones are waking up and some of thier assembly titles which indicate they too know so many are walking away.

Over all the only numbers that matter to them are those in North America and Western Europe, that's where they get most of thier money from.

Irregular to meetings, can I partake in memorial?

hi friends .

i don't believe in jw doctrines anymore but because of family i have to be a jw for now.. i am not regular to meetings, and don't answer in meeting, but i report some hours so i remain as active jw now.. .

congregation knows that i am not spiritual and i don't talk to people and i don't care what they think about me.. now, i believe it's important to observe lord's supper as a christian as per john 6:53, so in the coming memorial if i attend i want to partake in the communion,.. i believe it is a sin to pass the bread and wine inspite of knowing it's flesh and blood of jesus.. it's like rejecting jesus.. so i want to partake.. but i dont consider i am anointed etc.

Hell yeah go partake, they'll think your crazy but whatever right. The wine is actually pretty good but just take a nibble of the bread thier is nasty. Unleavened bread can be fine like a cracker but they don't care. But again the wine can be good , drink the whole cup!

as part of my masters in architecture degree (a treat to myself after leaving jws about 4 years ago), i'm attempting to digitally reconstruct some of watchtower's significant early buildings.

my goal is to produce accurate architectural drawings and images based on solid evidence.
