Hello
by Jules Saturn inhello, i've been lurking for quite some time here on this forum, reading a whole lot and i've finally made the courage to create an account as a form of escape and in hopes to be understood and not feel "mentally diseased".
little background on me, i am a born in but i consider myself a pimo (physically in mentally out).
i feel like i've always had doubts but these doubts would sink with the meetings and the assemblies and every other little thing that drowns any doubts a witness may have.

Zero, none, absolutely no evidence. The christs quotes that many Christians use are of people after Jesus supposed time on this planet. These Christ quotes could be used in conjunction with other gods like Serapis or Helios. Josephus quote in one area is a forgery and in other parts of his writings he's clearly talking about a different guy. Reasons why they know it's a forgery is one they way it's written and two he clearly would have never referred to Jesus as the messiah because as a lackey of the emperor he said he was the messiah.
Now with that being said there is some evidence that maybe there was a guy that was a rebel leader of the Jews that parts of the Jesus story was modeled after. There's some really interesting information about the shroud of Turin and the ruling family of a small kingdom in eastern Turkey. There's also some compelling evidence that Paul was also modeled after some previous real characters like Saul of Tarsus.
One last point if you want to understand Christianity explore ancient Egyptian religion and the Osiris cult. Many of the things one finds familiar in Christianity like baptism, anointing, Holy Spirit, paradise, heaven , resurrection, eternal life, etc all come from this much older religion. Now before you dismiss this idea because you've seen or read rebuttals about Horus being Jesus don't. Because Jesus wasn't Horus at least not a perfect composite. Jesus was more modeled after Osiris.

The second meeting I had with two elders at my house dealing with my concerns with the blood issue, they said things like if you want to leave it's ok. One of them had left the baptists so he said he understood. They were being all buddy buddy while trying to tell me it was ok to leave. What a joke!

Your in a tough spot. Maybe best for you to move on and forget about this situation. Your children will be raised as JWs they will probably be told that the husband is the children's father and your just a relative or something. None of this is good for you and will only cause you great pain. In the end they may only want your around for your child support money.

Jesus Christ was anti-family
by deegee instrong family ties & family values did not matter to jesus:.
- a person must hate his or her family and themselves in order to be jesus’ disciple (matthew 10:37; luke 14:26).
- jesus will give a big reward to those who forsake their family, abandon their home, leave their family behind for him.

Yes there contradictions in the gospels in what jesus was saying and teaching too. Once one really studies the Bible it become clear it's all one big fat joke!

Jehovah's people are not happy people
by Phoebe ini finally stopped attending the meetings about 4 months go.
i won't be going back - ever.. but i've decided the best reply to the watchtower is to be happy and i do try to be happy every day even thought i wasted my entire life on this religion.
i cherish every day, practice mindfulness and do my best to be content with the life i have.. it is only now that i see that most jws i know are deeply unhappy people.

The Bible itself is a drepressing book. It's all about death , rape , murder, more death, animal sacrifice, human sacrifice, being a slave even the son of god dies . No wonder so many people are leaving Christianity and of course the JWs are in the worst case scenario !

Did Jesus pre exist? Yes or no?
by UnshackleTheChains inwhen i first became a witness, i always found the teaching about jesus being the arch angel michael hard to swallow.
i did however believe that jesus pre existed as a master worker alongside god (the first of his creation).. but now everything is brought into question having watched anthony buzzard explain why jesus could not have pre existed as it is impossible to pre exist yourself.
also the fact that it all sounds contradictory to suggest, he was already alive millions of years before he was transferred to mary's womb to be born as a human - the son of man?.

There's so many differences in the gospels about Jesus. One example in one account he's born during the life of Herod, in another he's born in the time of a Syrian governor who ordered a census it like a 12 year difference. This is just one of many discrepancies.
Christians will say things like what about the historians that say something about Jesus or Christ in their writings. Well for one the name Jesus is never mentioned or is Greek proper name just that of his title Christ. But is this the Christ their referring to? Many Christians don't realize that there was more then one god or deity with the title Christ. Serapis, Helios and others.

Jesus was a knew invented god modeled after Serapis, if fact his cult was the start of Christianity. They added elements of other gods like Dionysus and Mithra to the mix to gain followers. Serapis was already a mix of Egyptian and Greek gods and they just took it a step farther with Jesus. Most of Christianity is modeled after the Egyptian religions.
Some of the elements of the uprising in Jerusalem and some of the people involved have been written in to the gospels to give them some elements of reality but none the less Jesus the deity was and is a fabrication.
