· the whole book of revelation is one letter.. · that letter was to be taken by a courier and read out aloud in churches along a road that ran from ephesus to laodicea.
the author was very familiar with each of the churches.. · those christians were experiencing intense persecution.. · the letter was designed to encourage these first-century christians to “overcome”.
it told them that the end was imminent (“soon”) and they had to remain faithful, to the point of being prepared to losing their lives.. · john had gone to patmos in order to compose (“receive”) the message.
The writtings of jesus indicated the end would come during their generation. He died about 33 less then 40 years later Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 and just a couple three years later the last of the rebels were pushed up Mt meggedo ( Armageddo) . There they all died. Maybe the writtings of Revelations were in part to prepare the Jewish rebels out side of Jerusalem for their attack's, persecution and salvation as martyrs?
This was all written after the fact and makes for a great saga.
this tragic story has been developing over the last couple of days in venezuela.
there is a mixture of reports and accounts coming in..... two jehovah's witnesses (and fleshly sisters) aged 71 and 65, where found murdered.
a 26 year male suspect has been arrested.. in the apartment where the two where found dead, the words "death to witnesses" (“muerte a los testigos”) had been scrawled onto one of the walls.. he killed them because they expelled him from the jehovah's witnesses - canal de noticia, nov 28, 2017. .
I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more , not to random witnesses but to elders that df people.
i noticed a young brother with a beard being given more privelages within our hall.
when he first grew his beard, he lost his privelages.
but more and more recently he has been helping out a lot more.. the cobe is old school and a stickler for rules, but with the hall becoming more empty these days, and the need for young brothers, he seems to have relaxed on this particular watchtower/man made rule.
The beard thing was just a distraction, just like government getting all up into gay rights etc so people start fighting over it and talking about it not realizing what’s really going on. Beards were a distraction to get people from talking about all the other meaningful stuff the cult is doing and teaching.
many people point to the irrationality in the depiction of god by the religions and their scriptures, hence jump into the bottomless pit of atheism.
in either camp, god is not a factor because religion is only a means that misrepresents god, hence religionists themselves are atheists (literally, those who live without god).
it is like saying there exists no earth because you found out your friend who taught earth is flat is wrong; or it is like saying mathematics itself is wrong because you found out your mathematics teacher made a mistake.
Faith in god is a practice of belief devoid of facts , logic, reason and common sense. If a person wants to believe in a deity but that deity does absolutely nothing for a person in his or her life then what’s the point?!

this site was not even on the first page .
They can pay google to be first but these sites usually are listed as ad sites.
hello everyone, i haven't posted anything on here for a while and today i just really felt like i needed to get my thoughts together.
(if you don't know me please read some of my previous posts).
so pretty much not much has changed in my life, i'm still living with my parents and going to all the meetings and service.
Stay where your at put the cult out of your mind , daydream when at meetings and concentrate on your schooling. People have had to drag themselves out of much worse situations then yours. Just hang in there and use it as your motivation for a better life. When you graduate and get your life established then move on and enjoy your life. Fade away from the cult but don’t bad mouth it or your parents , so you can have some kind of normalcy with them when your older.
Parents tend to grow to respect their kids more when there grown and out on their own. Then maybe then if they ask you can bring up a few points to why your no longer a practicing JW.

interesting development in russia... according to this article on youtube, it appears that children that are subjected to being involved in banned social or religious groups can be removed from their parents..
I think I stead of doing this these people that belong to these radical cults should have to go see a therapist that has a very good understanding of how cults work and how each cult is operated and what they teach. Then through therapy they can help to deprogram these victims. I would think having to see a therapists like this once a week for a year at least would be very helpful.

That’s harsh , maybe this is the way they think will motivate people not to be in such radical cults. I wonder if the Russians see the Muslim religion as radical?
