Oct 15th WT View of The Third Heaven--What a Scream!

ok, we all know the scripture where paul says "...i know a man in union with christ who, 14 years ago, was caught away to the third heaven.....whether in the body or apart from the body i do not know...he was caught away into paradise and heard unutterable words which it is not lawful or a man to speak.

according to the october 15th watchtower, you wanna know what exactly this means?

paragraph 9 says "....it would involve the christian congregation......when was that vision to be fulfilled?

i never thought would my jw upbringing would ever come back to haunt me, but it sure gave me a jolt today.. brought up as a jw from birth.

my father always an elder and my mother the prima donna, we were at every assembly and meeting, there was always the home study, field service, had the co stay with a few times, we moved to where the need was greatest in 1974, (moved back in 1989).

at about 1 or 2 years old, so i was told, i should have an operation to have my adenoids(?!

At 18 I'm DA'd for smoking (a couple of cigars - wow).

I find this even more incredible in your post.

This is good advice though. I took a trip to the doctors to personally pull the no-blood info in my kids records and my own this summer. My wife did it 2 months ago.

Funeral today

well i have decided to attend a funeral this afternoon at the kingdom hall.an elder whom i feel was a very nice man passed away .. his wife has always been welcomming to me at the hall.

and doesnt do the ,i dont see you thing, if and when we run into each other in public.

she actually smiles and nods to me.. it will be interesting as my daughter and son in law and grandaughter (whom i dont see unless by accident) will be attending too.. it has been a hard choice as weather to go or not.

If you don't go and see her you might regret it.

no meetings this week

i feel kind of silly posting next to you guys who were in the organization for much longer, like i know what i'm talking about or something, lol, i don't.. but i think it's really sad..all of these people, mostly really good people, who spend their whole lives or at least alot of it trying to do things..field service, studying, giving talks, giving up good jobs, ect.

for this religion.

i am really sad that i can't just save 'em from it.. i haven't been to any meetings this week and i think i finally might have the guts to tell them i'm done.. wow, it must have been realllllyyyy hard for all those who have family in the org.

Missy - Think about being 35, a couple of kids a husband and a pretty good case of the "I'm not good enoughs..." That your kids are just great at repeating why holidays are bad, but wish they could play with someone other than the weirdo in their bookstudy. Your husband is a pretty good guy, but is obsessed with working in the sound booth. Brother Better-than-me gets to work in the sound booth so you and the kids are putting in "extra" effort to get out in service on Sat - with a smile and to get the kids ready for the family study on Monday nights.

You have taken a young sister under your wings who is having trouble with "headship" as she married beneath herself since there weren't many brothers available. He is a turd. She feels it's her duty to God to be submissive and you are trying to help, knowing that it's been wasting you away from the inside out for years and years.

Then you find out that the religion you are following don't have special knowledge of or from God. That the latest - new light - changes yet another "old truth" that you preached to others for years.

This really could be your life.

Maybe the life you lead from here on out won't be perfect it will be yours.

Remember Tom Cruise in "A Few Good Men" telling the soldier in the end that you "don't have to wear a patch to have honor"

Well you don't have to be a JW to have morals, decency or values.

Notice the points though - that is what will tell the difference in the long run. KK are 3rd in points and as the season goes on into the playoffs this is where the RHINOS will come to the front.

on a night with a total eclipse of the moon.. in a year that manny hit a ball that hit a young boy in the mouth at fenway park in boston - the boy lived in the house that babe ruth lived in.. 100 years after last beating the yankees in a winner take all, final season game.. after being the first team in baseball history to come back from 0-3 in any post season series to beat the yankees - the greatest comeback in sports history.. after selling babe ruth to the yankees in 1920 - who then said the red sox wouldn't win a world series for 100 years.. beating the cardinals, the best team in baseball this year - in 4 straight.. not since 1918 - the red sox are champions of the world!.

the curse of babe ruth is dead.. for you tom yawkee.

You know those Cardinal fans were a classy group. No chanting at Pedro, no mean signs, not beating us in 7 games this time like they did twice before.

You almost wonder if they just could feel it was our year and nothing was going to be able to stop it this year.

And under a red moon. Did anyone go out and look at that? Red Sox winning under a red moon due to a lunar eclipse.
