thanks for the internet
by cyrus inhi all, just thought i would just say thanks for the internet.
how many of us would know the truth about the org known as jehovahs witnesses without the internet?how many of us would still belong to that group and not be listening to that voice saying :come on use ur brain u know its all rubbish ,were is all the love u were promised .it doesnt matter how many hours u spend in sevice just do ur best.armageddon is just round the corner (30-40 years still not here round the corner)this is gods org where else would we go if not here?
jehovah is the loving god that will murder at least 5.000.000.000.000 people including babies and other children that will die because thier parents are not jws .oh,and u must be joyous over this because jehovahs justice is beyond reproach but saddam hussien, hitler pol pot and all the other genocidal maniacs of history are evil although they did not kill a fraction of the people jah will do.

Disciplining babies?
by bernadette ini'd appreciate advice.. i remember when i was pregnant the following exp was given at a district convention.
an elder said that he started discipling his child from 9 months.
he said whenever the 9 month old made a noise or cried at the meeting he would squeeze her.

What were your reasons for becoming a JW?
by Narkissos inreasons, not excuses -- even valid ones (like, "i was ignorant, depressed, fooled").. yours in the sense that you can still own (to) them -- even though you now know the "answer" was wrong.. this obviously applies to those who became jws -- hence mostly not born-in, although some of the latter might admit to having chosen the jw way for themselves at a certain stage of their childhood or teenage years.. this question is triggered by a previous conversation with purplesofa on another thread:.
i think most of us that came in and not born in were searching.
our hearts were pure in our search.

Those who are 50+, do you remember that there was an ice age coming?
by Bonnie_Clyde ini distinctly remember this from my childhood.
i believe lots of concern and i suppose it was from the scientific community.
now it's global warming, and i'm hearing that 99.9% of the "creditable" scientists believe it.
