Thanks, friends. You are all lovely people, to be sure. What impressed me was the facts and figures of exactly how much money they took in, (people donate their old clothes, appliances and anything they don't need-they just drop them off in the drop boxes in front. Wal-Mart even donates stuff they can't sell). The store organizes everything and resells at a reasonable price. The letter they sent me gave the exact amount of money that was spent for people that came in and couldn't pay their light bill that month, and so forth. But, why doesn't the WTS tell us a little about what the expenses and income are. Isn't this fair? We give them so much money.

DHS report Tuberculosis and Scabies Spreading in Migrant Holding Areas
by Jeannette inagents are taking germs home to their families, and excrement is a problem with migrants.
be sure to wash all fruits with soap and water.
wash your hands after touching door knobs, hand rails, and it would be a good idea to keep your distance from them if they have tb.

Scabies and lice are not as serious as Ebola, of course, but you don't want a case of it. And tuberculosis is very contagious. Nonetheless, this country is going to be flooded with various diseases that are familiar to 3rd world countries, but not here (U.S). In fact, we may not have built up immunities to some of them. When immigrants came into the country at Ellis Island back whenever the year was, they were inspected for disease. Zyclon B was used to help them get rid of lice. It is going to get worse, have no fear.

I honestly can't remember, but it strck a cord with me. I laughed so much at first, I couldn't believe anyone would talk about the religion, as I was surely scared to. Not now.

Thank you, Fernando, for the information. Whatthehades gave me the names of the pesticides that the professionals use, and I have written them down for safekeeping. Great bunch of people on the forum, here.

JWs everywhere!
by NVR2L8 ini'm traveling through the us on my motorcycle and yesterday i tried to get a hotel room in indianapolis.
the first 3 hotels were sold out and when i finally found a room i realized that everyone in the hotel were hispanic and wearing lapel id cards for the convention.
the other rider accompanying me is the only active jw i'm friends with so i had to be careful how i handled myself with the brothers...of course he engaged some of them but i managed to keep my conversation to a simple introduction.

Since I left the Watchtower a couple of years ago, I started volunteering 3 hours a week at a WeCare center. It's like Goodwill. Well, i've been there approximately 9 months, and yesterday I received a lovely thank you card from them. They told me how much they appreciated me, and had a print out of the results of the ministry in 2013. They listed the amount of money they gave for disaster and immediate neeed, direct aid for rent, utilities, day care, food bank, good samaritan thrift store, eye and dental, school supplies and so on. I've been volunteering for Watchtower for 40 years and all I got from them was a couple of attempts to kick my derrierre.

Well, I'm not sure. But the newspaper article said the above. I need to learn how to copy and paste. Chicken pox is a "normal" childhood disease, as is Mumps and Measels, but this country has kept these things at bay.
