Looking at it from their standpoint, and as that PO said, they keep a file mainly in case you do decide to return. Some men who served on the committe that met with you may no longer be at that Hall. Death could always be a factor too ( a PO around here died recently) so in time, should you decide to return, the file simply helps the elders who would meet with you get up to speed on what happened.

Got my judicial notes & file destroyed
by roybatty indoes it bug you that there are notes about you stuck somewhere in a kingdom hall file cabinet?
i cant say that its kept me up at night, but it does bother me that there are notes from my judicial hearing (and a file) that i cant access but just about anyone with a little bit of nerve can.
anyway, i decided to call the po from the last congregation i was in and request that these notes be destroyed.

Scully, the conversation between you and your mom is very interesting, and it kind of shows me how some Witnesses put their own spin on just about everything.

Went this past Sunday for the first time in about two months. I don't mind going for just the Public Talk on occasion. Plus, it keeps the hounds somewhat at bay.

NFL Playoffs: Week-By-Week Predictions
by Funchback inso, here are my first round playoff predictions (as if any of you care...lol!
colts 23, jets 15 (the jets had their super bowl vs. the packers).
packers 21, falcons 17 (i have a hunch that atlanta may pull the upset but you can't root against the pack at lambeau).

Weekly Food Bill Survey
by patio34 inafter reading the thread on portion sizes, it'd be interesting to see what folks spend weekly on their groceries.
one of my new year's resolutions was to improve my finances and groceries are coming under scrutiny.
i spend about 30 a week (now), but when i wasn't paying attention and stopping in all the time, i'll bet i was spending double that.. so, what do you spend?

We spend on average $80-100/week. Gee, if only we didn't have to eat.

How Would You Feel If Something Happened To Us?
by minimus inif suddenly, we stopped posting here, would you feel a loss?
i think of persons such as amazing, maximus, hillary post and others that either suddenly decided to stop posting or just really, can not.
do you really miss persons that are no longer regulars here?

I've made some friends here that I keep in touch with. One reason that I exchange e-mail addys and IM usernames, and in some cases, weblog addys, phone numbers and actual addys, of some posters here is that, should this whole board suddenly go 'poof' one day, I can still keep in touch with folks I met here. The main reason though is that I have met people here that really do think of as friends, so it's a natural consequence of that to want to keep in touch. And yes, if I somehow lost contact with them I'd miss them.
