My parents are in that boat. Both are now 69, both have undergone heart by-pass surgery and can no longer work. They need to move to a town in a lower altitude, but don?t have the resources. Both are depressed, can barely afford doctor visits and some of their medications. They could have easily worked decent jobs and made enough money to have a decent retirement.
You know if McDonalds can be sued because their coffee is hot??..the leaders of corporations can be prosecuted for misleading their employees and shareholders, causing the loss of billions???Why can't we sue the Governing Body for people who are misled into believing that Jehovah will provide for their every need and they end up destitute?

PG, it is still unclear to me why you found it necessary to omit your true identity when you found us on the board. I view this as a deception. Had you and I entered into a channel of communication similar to the one between you and Jesika, I would have been just as outraged.
You enjoyed the hospitality and company of some of the most kind, loving, compassionate people I’ve had the privilege of associating with in years. It is these same people who have helped me and they hold a very special place in my heart.
If you are sincere in your desires to leave the Witnesses, I wish you all the best and hope you stay. If your reasons for the omission were not malicious in nature, I hope you can mend the relationship between Lyineyes, WT and Jesika. If you do, you will benefit greatly by their experiences.

i don't care that i'm still (albeit barely) in the acceptable weight range for my age/height (47/5'1"); i want to be thin again.

Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in about Wellbutrin. I like it and I've been taking it for several years. It's the only one that doesn't make me want to eat 24/7, sleep 24/7 nor interferes with my orgasms. The downsides I have experienced are taking it past mid-afternoon as it will interfere with my sleep. And the price -$280 (#60 200mg SR) was what I was quoted. According to my doc, it does nothing for anxiety however (which I didn't think I seriously had). She prescribed Buspar, then Klonopin in addition to the Wellbutrin. I have felt the best I ever had!
I haven't taken Remeron, but my 2 daughters did. It helped their depression, but they felt the need to eat constantly; rapid weight gain followed. When they changed meds, the eating and weight gain tapered off. I agree with the other posters to use the weight gain in your routine. And speak to your doc when you can regarding your meds. What works for one doesn't always work for another, as I'm sure you're finding out.
