Repeat after me, eye before E except after sea. I think they are splitting hairs here.

We are becoming champions of grief. We lost twin B.
by Darkknight757 inlast week we had a reassurance ultrasound with our ob.
she was just supposed to check heartbeats on the two little ones and they were going strong!
but because she had extra time and she can be quite anal about her work (which is a good thing) she decided to take some measurements.

Last song at Regional Convention of 2016 was stolen from Audiomachine
by LevelThePlayingField inas far as i know, i did a search, and you may not know this but, the last song play during a music video of the regional convention, was not of watchtower.
it's stolen from a group called audiomachine off their album epica.
the song is called eternal flame and it is exactly and i mean, note for note the same as the music video.

There are a TON of pictures there with thousands and thousands of dollars in tools and trailers/equipment! This is no small thing here. It's as if they know they won't be doing any real building from now on, or they will contract everything out from here on.
What the hell is going on? This is the third auction I have seen like this.

Jehovah's Witnesses Knocking at my Front Door
by Richlist ini have jw's knocking on my door about 4 times a year.
they walk along the whole street knocking on all the properties trying to hand out leaflets about god.. i always engage them in conversation.
my street has a very large number of oap's who could really do with some extra help.....grass cutting, shopping, cleaning, help around the house, gardening, diy etc.. never once have i been able to persuade any jw's to do something worthwhile for these residents.. i'm left with the thought that jw's don't want to do anything really worthwhile for these people.......why ?.

The JW's, in all honesty really don't want to help. They don't want to role up their sleeves and help in that way of any kind. It's really in their culture. They would much rather just tell you the good news and leave it at that.
Now, is that really Christian, no. But, while I tend to consider them as Christians, they really lack in this. I have often wondered, what's wrong with preaching to someone and then helping them with their lawn cutting, or running to the pharmacy for them. Would it really be that bad? The answer is, of course not. But see, this is where the culture comes in.
All along, from the beginning they have been taught to believe the best way to help someone is to preach the good news of the kingdom. And, sorry to say, but that's all they are taught. They weren't taught to the second best thing, which is to role up your sleeves and actually do something. Like, run a food drive, or visit widows, regardless if they are of their faith, in the nursing homes. To actually help fatherless boys, by contributing to any charities that support them, or by being foster parents themselves.
See, this is all in vain in the Jehovah's Witnesses' minds. Isn't that crazy? You bet it is. But that's the truth.
Sad to say.

so much for babylon the great falling in 1919
by nowwhat? insuposedly babylon the great lost her power and influence over the people and government rulers back in 1919. flash forward to today the russian orthodox church is behind the banning of witnesses in russia.
yet another failed prophecy!
have these guys gotten anything right?!

I like that. "Did you know that 1914 was calculated by measuring a pyramid?" Truly classic, and yes it was calculated that way. But any JW (or 99.5%) don't have a clue about it.
Dumb shits.

DPA Cards: Word Has Come Down To Badger People
by JW_Rogue ini know this must be coming down from the top because the elders in my hall who didn't really care before are all concerned about it.
must be on the list of things to do before the co comes back around.
in past years i never really thought about the dpa.

LevelThePlayingField
Here in the lower midwest, I haven't heard a peep about it. I don't have my card filled out, and don't care to, but no elder that I know of has done anything along the lines of getting compliance about it.
I know one things for sure, if it came down to it, live or die, I choose to live. Now if that means a blood transfusion then so be it. They can go ahead and DF me if they want. "I'll live with that." Pun intended. :)

I don't know, there is a couple of similarities here. I really would like to know who did the logo first, the govt or JW's.

$25,000 for one-day assembly in our area
by Bonnie_Clyde inthey started out with a $3,500 carry-over but by the end of the day they were short $25,000.
the speaker eloquently beseeched the audience to go the atm machines and give their generous contribution or at least their widow's mite.
after the sessions were over, our friend who attended walked from one end of the assembly hall and then to the other end and noticed long lines up to both machines with people who couldn't wait to run up their credit cards.

I haven't donated in over 3 years. But I just had an idea. I WILL donate this time.
I will take out my credit card, walk up to the machine and punch in $0.01. Yes, one cent, and process it, just to piss them off. :)
