i talked to a close friend that served with me as an elder for a few years.

he allowed me about an hour to explain why 607 is not the correct date for the destruction of ancient jerusalem.

i showed him all the scriptures needed and i showed him the wt magazines that proved it.

John Aquila - probably one of the most profound posts that I have read in a while. You really make me think. You are right. I know a 88 year old elder that studied with me. Why go back now and hammer away at him with TTATT? What's the use? You are so right. Let's focus on those that have a future.

i remember hearing the sounds of the train horn blowing on january 1st 2015 and remembering, "another year and no armagedon".

and i was so disappointed.

i hated to hear that train whistle blow.

For example, beginning around 1918, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society – today commonly known as ‘Jehovah’s Witnesses’ – began teaching that the Old Testament saints–Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and King David, etc.–would all be returning from the dead in 1925! They were so ‘convinced’ of this happening that they built a big, expensive mansion in San Diego where those guys were all to live (prior to traveling to Jerusalem, where they would oversee the establishment of the new world).

You just can't make this stuff up!

I remember hearing the sounds of the train horn blowing on January 1st 2015 and remembering, "another year and no armagedon". And I was so disappointed. I hated to hear that train whistle blow. It was cold, it blew and blew. The whole year went by and woke up completely with TTATT. The Royal Commission really did it for me.

And then I started to hear those same train horns blow again this fall, and I'm starting to think, "no, I don't care if Armageddon doesn't come this year, I don't care! Let them blow! In fact, let that sound be the sound of the clarity of TTATT! Yes!

The next time you hear the sound of a train horn, remember, that's the sound of TTATT! The sound of reality!

We live in the real. For all of us that are willing to accept that, let the horn blow!

that trend contrasts with the decrease in the number of partakers that we saw for many decades.

victims of child abuse within the jehovah's witnesses may never see the perpetrators brought to justice unless the government closes a loophole allowing criminals to evade justice, campaigners have warned.. the government has been asked to introduce mandatory reporting to police whenever an allegation of child sex abuse is made within the faith group.. currently, the so-called "two-witness rule" means jehovah's witnesses deal with allegations of "sins" internally and only investigate themselves if the claim is corroborated by a second testimony - something lawyers say is unlikely given that many victims are abused on their own, in private.. concern over the number of "hidden" victims has prompted campaigners to hand a letter to downing street calling on the government to take action.. victim nick french, 43, who was abused by his stepfather gary moscrop from the ages of seven to 13, said introducing mandatory reporting would reduce the risk of paedophiles offending.. the salesman, originally from glasgow but who was raised in brighton, claimed: "when there are institutions that have rules that protect paedophiles, then something really needs to be done about that.. "when it's one word against another, they can get away with it.

certainly in my case, it just allowed him (my abuser) to become worse and worse in his criminal activities.. "what a faith group like the jehovah's witnesses would say about child abuse is they still view it as a sin, rather than a crime.. "in this day and age, as soon as a crime is reported it needs to go to the people who are qualified to deal with such a crime.
