2016 WT printing reduction - Figures

the wt has been reducing it's printed output of the public wt magazine since 2012.this is how the figures breakdown:.

month ................. wt printing each issue ............. total pages per issue ..... languagesjanuary 2012 ....... 42,182,000 .................................. 1,349,824,000 ...................... 194january 2016 ....... 58,987,000 .................................. 943,792,000 ......................... 254. during 2012 the public wt had 32 pages, so there were 1.35 billion wt pages printed for the public to read each month.1,349,824,000 pages x 12 months = 16,197,888,000 (16.2 billion) pages per year.

by 2016 the public wt has only 16 pages and is being printed only on alternate months.943,792,000 pages x 6 times per year = 5,662,752,000 (5.7 billion pages per year).

And I would say the content went from deeper things to milk-toast over the years, even in the study edition. It's like drinking watered-down soda.

Thanks for crunching all those numbers. I never would have known that because when you look at the number in 2012 compared to 2016 the number of printing goes up, so you would figure so does the total printing. But the way you broke it down, wow! All those missing mags in total. Must fill a complete warehouse.

Is this possible?

first of all my parents don't know that i no longer consider my self a jw of believe in the stuff they say (after 10+ years of dissociation it shouldn't be rocket science) and there is no way my dad would ever listen to me if i were to talk to him about tatt and all the contradictions and false prophecies.

however, he is always reading, and he spends a lot of time in the computer using the wt library (the cd one).

i was wondering, if there would be a way to maybe "hack" the program, maybe replace some wt books with copies of something like crisis of conscience.

I know this is not on the original thread, but I agree with Atlantis. There must be a lot of people who are no longer donating anymore. I think there maybe a lot of people who are either waking up on there own, are still in and active but don't donate because of the issue they have with the Society or they are just plain upset with some things and still believe and don't donate or just broke.

dbp407 you make all valid points though. What's wrong with the projector in the first place. This whole JW.Org has gone from little to so big in such a little amount of time it seems that's all the GB is concentrating on. And I think two main reasons why is it costs pennies on the dollar and because this way all the indoctrination comes directly from them. That's why the slave is promoting everyone into getting these "electronic devices". If you go back to the late 1990's the internet was demonized.

the theme of the jw calendar 2016 is building, building, building.

all the calendar pictures are about building wts property with cheap labor witnesses.. and then, just before the year approaches the building has halted.. it seems a short term decision.

Gorby - OMG! LOL and my wife is sleeping in the other room and she doesn't know TTATT. If she wakes up and asks me what the hell I'm doing in here looking at this apostate website laughing at this rediculous caldendar that made me lose it, then she'll divorce me for sure. :)

Searching for those who "know" TTAT

does anybody have any tips for conversation starters to covertly feel out someone in the cong that you suspect is a "knower" about ttat?.

any success or experiences to share?.

As you can see from the answers so far given, there is no magic bullet. You just have to be careful. I would recommend talking to this person carefully and perhaps ask what they think about the new generation teaching. Although they may not agree with it, but they may tell you that they do out of fear, ask them then, "have you noticed that it seemed like in the past we could question things, but now for example, if we don't agree with the generation teaching we can't really question it?" And just see what he says. He may perk up a little. That may break the ice if he really know TTATT. If he's a little paranoid, he may just say yeah I noticed that, and that's it. But then you could continue on with, "well, if we have sincere questions about something, shouldn't we be allowed to question things? I mean we were allowed to questions things when we began to study the Bible right?" He may now open up even more and drop his guard because you are not attacking anything. Then you could say, "I just wish it was more like that. I sure enjoy talking to you. It's so easy talking to you." And then maybe the next time you could go to the next level and even just ask him if he's ever heard of TTATT and if he asks, "no, what's that?". Just say, "oh, no, it's just a new programming technique I read about for the playstation." or just make something up. Or you could say, "I said did you hear of that". Then he would say, "hear of what?" Then just have something in mind ahead of time, and you're all set!! Say, oh, that new movie about... or whatever. If he looks at you weird, don't worry. I'm sure he won't go home and Google tat, and certaintly won't Google ttatt. So we're safe.

Give that a whirl.
