  So according to the law in Russia, "The prohibition covers religious activities that impart “propaganda of the exclusiveness, superiority or deficiency of individuals on the basis of their attitude to religion, social, racial, national, religious or linguistic identity.”

  So therefore, JW's are not the only one that would be labeled as extremist. Many other religions and group would. But the average JW won't have a clue, they will think it's persecution for them.

  This story actually shocked me. I hear many life stories like this but this one was particularly bad. As one poster said, elders are covered by holy spirit? What a crock. I just hope that the many people out there will go to the police and sue the dickens out of WT.

  this brain study looked at what happens when someone's belief system is challenged.

  Book study this week...more trumpeting over the organzations greatness

  you know, there are some studies that are painful to sit through because of the blatant lies or bull shite spewing from the platform.

  then there are those that seem to have no reason for even taking place.. such was the case for last nights congregation bible study.. all it did was talk about how many books and magazines have been published over the years and "aren't we wonderful that we print so much stuff"?

  this is a study into important biblical things?

  I'm with you NiKL. I still attend because of my in wife. One of the cool/interesting things about going to meetings is now I can spot all the bullsh*t as it get dispensed. It's kinda like watching a show.

  Wait a minute, the letter isn't complete. They forgot to mention the donation arrangement! Oh, shucks, well the elders will just have to do so on their own. Or wait, the GB just got a check from Jared for $453 million. That'll do.

  Did you ever notice by reading that letter or any BOE letters for that matter, that the elders and the congregations have no autonomy? You will do this, then that, and at this time. Nothing further.
