Today at the Circuit Assembly in London, OH they said that so far in 2018, there has been $30 million spent on relief work. My guess is that for every house that gets repairs they are asking the owner to send in their check from the insurance company to Warwick.

JW: You mean they search the scriptures and come to Jehovah's organization!

Me: Nope. They should have come to Jesus so that they have life. (John 5:40)

JW: Nope?! You got it all wrong. Romans 10:13 says to call on Jehovah to get saved?!

Me: tisk, tisk. Acts 8:12 says "there's no other name than JESUS to get saved"

JW: big eye-roll

Me: Look here, I'm ready to die for the name of Jesus (Acts 21:13)

JW: Well, I'll die for Jehovah, so there! (thumbing nose in air)

Me: Let me cut to the chase. Do you have Christ's spirit? (Romans 8:9)

JW: (Clearly upset) Look brother, you need to stop all this Jesus stuff. You sound like Christendom.

Me: (stepping closer) No one can separate me from the love of Christ, it compels me! (Ro 8:35, 2 Co 5:14)

JW: (Bigger eye-roll) When I got baptized, I decided to get to know Jehovah and his org.

Me: I decided not to know anything except Jesus. He's the perfector of my faith. (1 Co 2:2, Heb 12:2)

JW: Jehovah is God!!!!

Me: Jesus is Lord! (1 Co 12:3)

JW: But we honor Jehovah more than Jesus

Me: If you don't honor Jesus to the SAME level as you do Jehovah, then it's like you don't honor God at all.

JW: (Giving up and starting to walk away) Oh, Jesus...

Me: That's right.

I think the 3,000 was the low hanging fruit. After those, I think they'll reassess, and if need be sell a few hundred more maybe.

Victims lawyers win argument with traffic laws analogy saying traffic laws applies to drivers, not employers or corporations. But, employers may be held responsible when their drivers are negligent and hurt others. (see page 15)

Then Watchtower lawyers switch their argument and say that they didn’t report the abuse because reports of abuse can be kept confidential under clergy law, but victims lawyers proved it was NEVER kept confidential because… (see pages 15-16)

Elders told the abuser what the victim said about him

The legal department told the elders in the Service department (CCJW)

Service dept (CCJW) writes a letter back to original elders.

Then Watchtower lawyers switch tactic again and say they can make their own definition of what “confidential” means and the court can’t say otherwise. (p.16)

Question for elders about child abuse

must the testimony of two witnesses of child abuse be them witnessing the abuse as it happens (seeing or hear it), or can it be two witnesses of strong circumstantial evidence as described on the back page of the july study edition watchtower?.

if the two witnesses must have actually witnessed the abuse take place, how would that work in the two scenarios below?.

scenario 1.. pioneer johnny has been privately counseled by the elders in the past not to be so “touchy” with kids in the hall, always given them big hugs and the like.

Scenario 1.

Pioneer Johnny has been privately counseled by the elders in the past not to be so “touchy” with kids in the hall, always given them big hugs and the like. One day Johnny goes out in service and there are four people in the car. A married couple, pioneer Johnny and 14 year old Suzy. They finish up their field service and the married couple tell Johnny to just drop them off at their house instead of at the Hall (one of their cars is there) because they had forgotten to turn off the oven with food in it. So, Johnny drops them off and on the short drive to the Hall, Johnny gropes Suzy. As Johnny pulls into the Hall parking lot he sees elder John & his wife, who’s supposed to take Suzy back home. Pioneer Johnny and elder John exchange a quick “how was service”, and then elder John & his wife start their drive to take Suzy home. Suzy, still stunned, is silent the whole way. After being dropped off, Suzy runs inside the house and tells her parents that Johnny abused her. Being good JW parents, their first call is to the elders.

Scenario 2.

Same exact circumstances as Scenario 1, with the same sequence of events, except the elders privately counsel Johnny not to be “touchy” and always hugging on the sisters,Suzy is 24 years old and Elder John & his wife just wave bye to Johnny as they pass by each other in their cars, with Johnny and Suzy pulling in and Elder John & his wife leaving. Johnny still gropes Suzy.

In both scenarios there is strong circumstantial evidence that Johnny groped Suzy.
The witnesses to the circumstantial evidence are the married couple and Elder John & his wife.

My point being, even though all the circumstances are the same, I think if Suzy was 24 years old, Johnny would find himself in a judicial committee as fast as a New York minute because of the strong circumstantial evidence, but if Suzy was an early teen the elders would tell poor little Suzy’s parents that they need two witnesses to the act of abuse before they can move forward.

How do you think it would be handled? Do elders take witnesses of strong circumstantial evidence as a warrant for a judicial committee for child abuse?

1) throughout the whole article jw's were being told not to believe or pass on everything they hear, but to examine the information to prove whether it was true or not.. 2) throughout the whole article jw's were being told not to listen to or look into any information or challenges which sounded negative about the org.. mind-numbed jw's will be leaving their kh's today wondering, "do i try and prove to myself and others that that what has been said is definitely a lie, (1 timothy 4:1; 1 peter 3:15;1 john 4:1) or do i totally ignore it and believe everything the org tells me is true?

But even with all the propaganda from the Watchtower lesson and the many JW's commenting on it, there are still some who say who will want to look. Curiosity will be begging and begging.

this apology follows the individual apologies to child abuse victims and congregations by religious leaders and religious institutions across australia, with the exception of the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses who have refused to ‘say sorry’ to any victims or survivors of child sexual abuse or to acknowledge their suffering.. .

I bet people in Australia are getting wise to who JW's really are.

aren't we so grateful to the f&ds who directly mediates our relationship with jesus christ and give us the food we need at the proper time?

i dunno....maybe i have anger issues with the the wt?.

jw borg keeps the witnesses up to date with accurate information? Like the accurate information about the worldwide news coverage of the Australian Royal Commission that covered Jehovah's Witnesses and their own governing body member Geoffery Jackson had to testify? You mean THAT accurate reporting?

There has never been one word about it on jw org news, not one single mention.

I've asked other witnesses, "Why wouldn't the slave tell us when a governing body member is their testifying on behalf of the brothers?" No one was able to give a reply.

it was announced at our clam that there "was no shipment of the october study editions of the watchtower" and that they were asking if people could just use electronic or make their own copies.. is this just happening in ohio, or did you hear the same thing?.

Kingdom Hall Closures In Canada.

one of our friends in canada posted the following message to their circle of friends.

"in our meeting last night, the coordinator read a letter from the canadian branch about the reorganized territories.

all the territories in the fraser valley from hope to vancouver, about a hundred miles in all, have been reorganized to create larger congregations and improve the use of kingdom halls.

I have observed by reading several threads on this subject of dissolving congregations and selling of KH. This is definitely a trend all over.
