The Judgment Day

what are you going to do when you get judged before the lord.... romans 2:12 .

"for all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.".

revelation 20:13.

God gave us His Word, right? Right. You said that everyone has their own interpretation for it... God had one meaning and one meaning only for His Word, not different meanings. God is not a God of confusion. So, there is only one true interpretation. And yes, I do believe my beliefs are the correct ones. If you think that sounds a little "selfish", well, don't you think what you believe is right? Yes, if you knew it was wrong- you'd change.

So... God will judge the un-saved for their sins before a holy God. Seeing their own sin enlight of a holy God, they will definately feel like a sinner, wouldn't you say?

We are not judging you when we are saying you are a sinner. I am telling you the truth. 1st off- The Bible clearly states that we all are (Romans 3:10-14, 23, Eph. 2:1, etc...) 2nd- I haven't seen your daily lifestyle, but by watching all of your posts- you definately are! (bad language, etc..) So please, don't say I am judging you for saying what you really are.

What I believe is true, and you will stand before the Almight God, Creator of the universe, and be speechless. You will remember everything you've heard in this forum and know that- the Bible is the Truth. As they said before- you will be accountable for what you know.

Believers and their "Free Will" Dogma

one of the most interesting dogmas found among believers is the concept called free will- on the surface it starts out sounding reasonable, until you start the ask questions and listen to the explanations that are given , after awhile you realize it has no legs to stand on.

we are told by believers that god allows each person to make thier own choice and we are not robots and therefore we are able to exercise free will, the only problem is when you ask the question, what about when someone exercises thier free will and it harms someone else, why would a loving god allow someone the free will to hurt someone innocent, at that point free will sounds more like an excuse to give god a bye in terms of having to do anything- i read this posters comment and i couldn't for the life of me see any logic or reasonablness behind the concept of free will when folks get hurt like this person has-.

one of my earliest memories is of my grandfather raping me.

He never said that he can't explain all that stuff in the Bible. I know he does know what he's talking about. Maybe somethings aren't as clear as crystal, but we try our best.

You obviously don't understand, only because you are blinded by your sin. Ephesians 2:1 says "we were once dead in our sins" You still are. I am now made alive through Christ Jesus' sacrifice and ressurection, which prooved His reign over death.

I don't get what you are trying to claim either... Kill my own kid, because I didn't like your quote. You've said I wasn't very good at arguments, well you aren't so swell either.

Ok, I guess none of you got my point-- I was replying to someone who had said that they believe in God, but not that we should live by the Bible. I said "If you believe in God, why don't you believe you should live by what He has said?" (or something like that).

For all of you who "need proof for the Bible"... you won't accept it anyways. None of you have faith. You've already put me on your "lower level" so won't listen to anything I say anyways. So, I am just going to tell you this:

You will be held accountable for everything you've heard was true. You've heard that God is real. That He is sovereign. That He sent His perfect Son to die for sinners and save them from God's wrath. When you are standing before God...

Revelation 20:11-15

11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. You say "Believers and their 'Free Will' Dogma" Well, I'm not one of those believers then. I am a believer who believes that I am a horrible sinner, who is now set free from the bondage of sin. I have only been set free by the Grace and mercy of God. He chose me to be His follower, He called me to Himself. God granted me repentance and has given me His very Word, for me to live by.

Nowhere in there did I say anything about what I have done, only what Christ has done for ME.

How exactly are you defining "free will" anyways? Is it that we have the right to choose God or not? That we can do anything we want? Or what?

If we have a certain "free will" then change into a bird. You can't. But you want to, but wait-- your WILL doesn't allow you to.-- we can't have that free will.

We (before saved) are dead in our sins (Eph. 2:1). Dead people are capable of doing nothing. So we can, spiritually do nothing. So, because we are dead in our sins, we can't choose God.

We can do no good. (Rom. 3:10-14) In the world's eyes we can do a lot of good things, but in God's eyes every intention is bad. So, would you say that choosing God is considered "good"? Yes. But, we can do no good- so we can't choose Him.

There just can't be a biblical explanation for free will.

I also "only see" Bible vereses in Chef's posts. Those Bible vereses defend His point- familiarly known as "The Gospel Message"...

It's great he uses Bible veres frequently, which prooves how solid his doctrine is... whatever you believe, I don't think you have that much defense against it.

Sangdigger-

That was a great little testimony. I too, was raised in a Christian home and regularly attended church. I prayed the sinners pray and "asked Jesus into my heart". There was no fruit in my life to proove I was saved. Then, at my church, God basically gave us a new staff. They continually fed me the Word and God began to convict me of my sin.

God called me to Himself and graciously granted me repentance. I then realized how horrible I was, how wrong my motives were. I can not nearly say that I am perfect either, yet I am still striving to be holy, righteous, and godlly.

I have never been a JW myself either, but have talked to many. For example- when I brought up John 1:1, they totally translate the Greek word " 'o Logos" (The Word) wrong. :) After a while they realize they can defend their beliefs any longer and make a run for it. Well, it's great talkin!
