They have picked on cults before. They basically went to warfare with the church of scientology, so what would happen if they would pick on the WT ? Let's say they would release to the public of lot of secret documents that discredit them, or at least attack the JW.org website. I think that would be interesting to see !

The way I see it, religion is a primite way of coping with reality. So, when someone dies, they went to heaven or will be resurected in the new world or some crap like that. Similarly, when disasters happen it was God's will, Satan's fault, signs of the coming Armaghedon, etc. And so and forth, just imaginary stuff that can help weak minds cope with the harsh realities.

I see a lot of great ideas from everyone. I think that, just as Mr. Phizzy pointed out, we have kinda reached a consenseus that for some degree the GB is indeed delusional but also for the most part aware of their decisions and consequences. The organization is indeed suspect on many things, and much of its evolution could be the result of the influence of numerous decision making forces.
The way I see it, the WT now has two paths to choose from ahead. As the credibility of their doctrines comes to an end, and many of the super duper JW's are now old (very few young people joining the borg); they can either choose to become more mainstream, leaving behind many of the practices that create controversy and are generally disliked by current JW's, or choose to become a more hardcore cult with less but more fanatic membership. I don't know if they made this decision yet but I think they will be forced to in the next two decades. Either way, I just hope this religion will vanish as soon as possible.

Thank you Mr. Flipper ! It's been an honor ! I wish I could have engaged in this topic more but unfortunately I didn't have the time. Nevertheless, I think it's great we had so much engagement and exchanged so many ideas. Thank you all !

Again, I have to declare myself very impressed with the level of engagement in this discussion from many of you. My. Apog and Mr. Phizzy you got some good ideas but I relate the most with Mr. Flipper. I do agree there's no secret initiation into the upper management but I also don't think the GB members are as believing in themselves as they appear to be. They're probably not atheists, but they're also probably somewhat realizing the reality of what they are. So much power can corrupt anyone so why wouldn't it corupt them. I don't think they believe their own doctrines, unless they're all senile.
It's shocking how little transparency this organization has. Most of us spent years, and even decades in it and we still know so little about the inner workings of the upper management, especially concerning money. The reason I started this post wondering what their plans for the future are, is because I'm concerned how the future decisions of whomever is in charge will affect my family who are still blindly following the WT. I just fear they would ask of regular JW's something really stupid that would engager they're well being, more than usual. It sounds crazy but so is refusing a life saving blood transfusion and taking the decision to willingly die, just to follow their blood doctrine.

Wow guys, this discussion just exploded in a good way. So many ideas and replies. I wish I could answer all of you but unfortunately I don't have the time.
Mr. Flipper I have to say that I agree with most of your ideas. Mr. Apog I only agree with some of your ideas, nevertheless you make sense. I too wondered that if this is all a conspiracy, then when would one get initiated into the con. It's most likely that most of the upper management of the borg still somewhat believes that they work for god's organization, just in their own corporate, profit oriented way. Just as some medieval popes used to poison and assasinate their rivals while also believeing in god it's possible that this also is the case with the WT. Nevertheless, I can't help but wonder where does the money from just the past 20 years went. Even if they just had a few hundred million a year in profit, that would still amount to billions. Not to take into account the recent real estate sold in Brooklyn for a bilion. So does all that money just lay around. Who uses it ?
And yes we're speculating, but we're doing so based on everything we know so far about this corporation, which impacted our lives so greatly. I'll always wish to find out the real truth about how the borg really works. We, all ordinary members, never got an insight of the inner workings of WT. Also, since they're a cult that uses mind control (this is undisputable, so much evidence), that uses specific words only known by the members of the cult to maintain control and a we vs. the world mentality, do you think they have people that are proficient in psychology to help them maintain that control ? It's not like you create a brain washing cult without actually meaning to do so.

Extremely interesting replies. For those of you that believe they don't make that kind of money please take into account that the donations stack up to 300 million plus a year, and they financial investments even in small countries go into the tens of millions. In the late 90's they had between 250-300 million in investments just in the US. Now, those investment money should be in the billions. They also have a strong presence in powerful economies such as Germany, Japan and UK. It's also impossible not to notice the trend of selling real estate right and then moving to cheaper areas and repeating the cycle (at least that's what they do in my country). Of course, they financial power is almost nothing compared to mainstream religions with billions of members, such as Catholicism. Nevertheless, they financial power should not be underestimated.
Apognophos - I understand that but I'm also sure that someone is in charge. In order to keep such a large corporation existing and profitable, you have to make extensive leadership plans in advance.
Some of you had very interesting ideas regarding the legal, printing and finance departments. I think that's an alley worth exploring in order to learn more about how the borg really works.
Zeb - Bitcoins are a crypto currency that can only be used in the online mediums. It offers a good degree of anonymity which made it popular with a lot of people, including drug dealers, assassins and so on. It's extremely volatile compared to traditional currencies. There's no one really in control of it. Even you could manufacture one if you'd have enough computing power, which was easier in the beggining but not it has become extremely hard and unproffitable. It's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, designed it in such a way so that there will be a limited number of bitcoins. Transactions are relatively anonymous. Bitcoins can be exchanged for goods and services and even cash in some places. I see it as the currency of the future, a future in which no government will be in control of it.
BudBayView- Exactly, what is their motivation ? Are they just Christian fanatics who are completely delusional ? Or they're a organized corporation with profit being it's sole purpose ?
LoisLane - (I love your name) My thoughts exactly. The GB are just front men, and who knows how far does the influence of this organization go, or what they are involved into.
NonJwSpouse - Well, your theory does sound a little like a big conspiracy, but when you think about it, it's exactly what this organization really is. It would seem plausible that bloodless medicine to be part of their end game. If it would be achieved, they would get their hands on tens of billions and then could brag to the borg sheep of how Jehovah helped this discovery.
