  today's watchtower lesson touched on the history of hezekiah's reign, and then made a surprising modern-day application.

  having used my time before the meeting to research the underlying material instead of highlighting my magazine, i personally found this to be an upsetting study, and decided to put this warning here in the hopes that some active witnesses read it.. the most important thing i want to say to you is that the actual flow of events in this bible account were severely misrepresented, and that there are some disturbing implications in the distortions that were made.

  1. hezekiah's father ahaz makes himself a vassal to assyria out of fear of their overwhelming might (2 kings 16:7, 8).. 2. upon becoming king, hezekiah rebels against assyria (2 kings 18:7).

  It's weird. I have heard that when you take a picture of Bro Splane all you are left with in the pic is a shadow. Steve lett's crazy eyes are the only thing that shows in his pic...guy pierce turns into grandpa Munster, Sanderson shows up as the doughboy, .... I need to go pray now.

  check judges 11 in some other translations for the clearer language.

  jehovah was cool with that since jeptha was fulfilling his vow.

  Why would jeptha shown a form of mourning (renting his garments) that was traditionally used for death rather than rejoicing that he could give jehovah the best( his daughter) ?

Jehovah was cool with that since jeptha was fulfilling his vow. Also God foretold that Josiah would turn the false priests into burnt offerings. Abraham was close to killing and burning Isaac up and finally as mentioned elsewhere, God sent his own son to earth and had him killed as a sacrifice to make himself happy. god is cool with human sacrifices, but don't you ever celebrate your kids birthday, he hates that.

  after 6 weeks of hiatus from our home study we are finishing ch 15-see good for all your work.. throughout the last part of the chapter it goes i er how to view secular work--keep it simple and ministry first before work.

  so the elder told me of a bro who went to a tech school for welding but got the real welding education with the siciety and is now 2nd in class welder at either bethel or the farm.

  another bro went to bethel for computers and is now makes a ton if money oart time and can pioneer (jehovah made it all happen)...then elder we t into how 73% of kids cant get jobs after college and it isnt really an education but mostly partying.
