Fried Chicken
by snowbird ini just copied this little nugget of information from real restaurant recipes.. southerners are the first to declare their fried chicken recipe as being the best, but southerners weren't the first to fry their chickens.
the scottish people who settled the early south apparently introduced fried chicken in the united states.
they liked their chicken fried rather than boiled or baked as was normal for the english in the northern states.

I prefer spicy cajun style fried chicken, like Popeyes or Bojangles.
I have even been known to eat a fried chicken sandwich with ketchup on it.
I also love vinegar and just about any pickled vegetable, but especially pickled corn.
I love my cornbread kentucky style, thin and greasy on the bottom, white meal of course, none of that yaller cake that some restaurants try to pass off as cornbread.
I love red beans and rice also. -

I guess he wasn't a Rush fan, or a Hannity fan either.

by changeling inon another thread i asked: .
"f i do not renounce my atheism, repent and start believing in and worshipping the christian god, what will happen to me?".
i do not want your judgement or your opinion i want to know what your church/faith teaches on the subject or the fate of unbelievers.. no platitudes, please.

Burn the Ships, unlike the Watchtower Society that has an answer for everything, I don't have an answer for that or alot of other things. I have asked this question before from certain christians at work, but I don't remember how they replied.
My church is pretty much a "tell it like it is' church. There is no sugar coating, no keeping up appearances, we don't obsessively worry what non-believers think about our church. We try to live by the bible, but at the same time, we don't go out of our way to make things look different than what they really are. For me this was a breath of fresh air after leaving the JW's. -

In Kentucky we don't sugar coat the gospel, I will tell it like it is.
According to the teachings of my church as taught from the King James bible, unless you accept Christ as your saviour before you die, then Hell is your eternal doom. -

Will the Organization fall apart?
by BonaFide inmajor changes in meetings, the weird drama this year, and just people reading on the internet, are causing a lot to leave the organization, or just fade.
is it possible that, just like a house of cards, the whole thing will fall apart soon?
i mean, this may be wishful thinking, but is it possible that people will start to dissassociate themselves in bigger numbers, then groups and families will do so, then bigger and bigger groups of friends will do it, and then people who hear about this will check on the internet and then do the same thing, then congregations have to be dissolved and merged, then the talks start getting meaner, and that makes even more people quit, then thousands start to leave.. possible?.

What if everyone at the top started to turn against the religion and all of them started working towards the dissolution of the Watchtower Society, boy that would be awesome, but only a pipe dream I'm sure.

I know an XJW poster from this board who attends that church. I haven't talked with her in a while, I don't even know where her number is, but I hope and pray she is OK.

Sure it is common, especially when a JW just might happen to work in the newsroom. I have been told by a local XJW that here in Knoxville there are several JW's that work for the newspaper, some even in the newsrooms.
