  i just saw a couple of news stories from israel.

  apparently the jw's were attempting to hold some kind of convention there, and the the town ruled against the jw's, but another court sided with the jw's and they were allowed to have their event.

  it turns out several hundred local orthodox jews turned out to protest this event, and it did turn violent at one point.

  well, it has been a long time since i have visited here, and an even longer time since i have posted anything.. .

  alot has happened since i last posted.

  amanda and i were finally divorced last september after 3 years of separation.

  Questions about A.H. Macmillan

  wow, i was just reading the online section of my old hometown newspaper.

  they have a section about famous and contoversial people who are either from that town or who visited it.

  there were several people mentioned in that column that were ministers and that the town hosted the national conference of free will baptists back in 1941.. .

  i have been posting less at jwd and have been posting more on other sites that are non-jw related.. .

  i have been posting some of my experiences there just to guage the reaction from the public.

  so far, on most other boards, i have received mostly positive reviews.

  Apple Day is here again

  in five hours i head out for kentucky.

  this is the kentucky apple festival weekend, otherwise known as "apple day".

  this is always the highlight of my year and something i never want to miss, though occasionally i have.. .

  Wanting to date, but

  well first off, i am mostly happy being single.

  i don't have this big desire to get married again, in fact i am kind of commitment shy now, and don't know how i ever would be able to function in a relationship again.

  but there are certain events and certain times of the year when i feel alone and would like a date.

  Gas prices up again

  i don't believe this crap.

  yesterday gas was $3.69 and now today in tennessee it is $5 a gallon in several stations.

  it is supposedly $6 a gallon in pigeon forge.. .

  supposedly today in sweden, some scientists are supposed to run some kind of experiment with a nuclear type collider, and they say there is a possibility that it could open up a black hole and destroy the earth.

  does anyone here know what i am talking about?

  Grandma's birthday

  today is my grandma's birthday.

  i plan on calling her up and wishing her a happy birthday, but i feel kind of weird about it.. .

  you see my grandma is a jw (in name only) she doesn't attend meetings, only the memorial and only when she is with her brother in kentucky.
