  Implications of gay marriage ruling

  while many think that the ruling is good for the gays and their response is: how does that affect your marriage; then on the other side the religious people cry god and sinners.

  but both are missing the forest through the trees.. the problem with the ruling is that which is discussed here so many times.

  five unelected federal officials decided on policy for the whole country, running roughshod over every democratic principle.

  Exactly fisherman! but the problem with me was I was stuck living here because of my job, and all of my family and friends lived out of state. I felt very alone here, and then he came along and pretended to be my friend, well let's just say the anger kicked in after I learned the real truth. It is just not right to take advantage of lonely people, and manipulate them.

  Exactly Rattigan350, I escaped the Watchtower where my life was ruled by a few men in Brooklyn, and where the people had no say in anything. There is no way I can support an agenda that attempts to pervert the legal system and the will of the people and place the power in the hands of the few. I detest it! There are many laws I disagree with, but at the end of the day all I can say is that the people have spoken and generally just deal with it.

  yes it was platonic Viviane, and that is why it was much more difficult for me. I considered him like my own brother, but even my own brother wouldn't pull stunts like he did.

  No fisherman he didnt, and that is why he dropped me. I thought of him as a brother, and never entertained the idea of having sex with him. When he realized I was only looking for platonic friendship, he dropped me like a hot potato---a couple of other guys told me later he tried with them too. When the facts came out later I was shocked and yet shouldn't be--he was hinting around all along, I just foolishly refused to believe he was gay--to my own detriment. Worst time of my life!

  It was mostly due to rude comments from people. They didn't win their case with me by rude insults.

  There was also my personal experience dealing with those who were either self proclaiming gays or those in the closet who secretly approved of homosexuality. The biggest thing was a so-called friend, who tried to manipulate me. He was married, went to church (found out later he didn't believe), and pretended to be my friend. He was not interested in platonic friendship, and he tried every way to seduce me. I didn't believe he was gay, and even when he told me, I thought he was just joking. When I didn't catch on to what he was doing and reply in the manner he was hoping for--he ditched me as a friend. It was the worst time of my life. He didn't care about me personally as a friend, but was only trying to get his rocks off. Although, it wasn't quite repeated to this extent, every gay person I ever tried to befriend would bail when they realized I was only looking for friends. They were always pushing for sex, and as soon as I heard the stereotypical question, "you a top or bottom", I replied neither, just looking for friends--click, end of conversation.

  Tha pretty much sums it up.
