Sounds like you had a good time, and that you have alot ahead for you.
I went to Nashville last weekend and had a good time. I saw Asleep At The Wheel, and they were just as good in concert as they are on CD. I got to meet the steel guitar player, and talked with him for awhile.
I went to Opry Mills twice, and walked around the Opryland hotel once. I also went to the Grand Old Opry Museum. I ate at a restaurant inside Opry Mills called the "Music City Buffet" The food was different but good.
The gas situation in Nashville was bad, just about every station in Nashville was out of gas, luckily I filled up before arriving in Nashville.
I can't wait until my next trip there.

No More gum chewing
by Iwonder17 inwe have this hounder in our hall who doesn't like people chewing gum in the hall.
now i can understand kids but come on..... so he gets up there a few weeks ago and says:.
"a brother told me that he was talking with a gb member, and the gb member said that chewing gum is rude".

How in the heck can the DC speaker even see most people chewing gum? How would it be rude to him? I bet all 26,000 people in attendance could give him the middle finger and he wouldn't notice.

Actually, this is nothing new, they have been anti-gum for many years. My Dad was anti-gum, no problem I just took up smoking instead.

I wonder if being methodical in your thinking is just something people are born with, and they gravitate to similar career paths. Engineers have an odd personality, they usually don't have a sense of humour, and they are known as rational thinkers, question is were they born this way? or were they taught this way?

Jeremy C---I find it to be just the opposite. Usually when a JW commits a major crime, the religious affiliation is not mentioned. But a Baptist or a Catholic, and its all over the news.
Remember the Christian Longo murders? They whitewashed that story completely, didn't even mention he was a JW on the TV expose.
But with that all said, I don't believe these were true JW's that committed this crime, but if it gives some negative publicity to the Watchtower, then I certainly won't hinder it. -

I think it is definitely a must, especially if you have a career plan. As for the critical thinking, you can develop that on your own.
