Devout South Carolina family of four found dead in apparent murder-suicide
The bodies of Sheddrick Byron Miller, 38, and his wife Kia Von Miller, 28, were discovered with their two young children, age 3 and 1, after Sheddrick Miller's mother hadn't heard from them for a few days, the Charlotte Observer reported.
In all their photos they appear as the pinnacle of happiness, which makes the tragic news so much harder for friends of the Millers to take.
On Wednesday, the family of four was found dead in their South Carolina home in an apparent murder-suicide at the suspected hands of the devout Jehovah Witness husband and father.
The bodies of Sheddrick Byron Miller, 38, and his wife Kia Von Miller, 28, were discovered with their two young children, age 3 and 1, in the family's Riverwalk home after Sheddrick Miller's mother hadn't heard from them for a few days, the Charlotte Observer reported.
"I'm sick to my stomach," Tammy Doctor, who owns a beauty shop next door to the husband's barber shop told The State. "He never showed one sign. I can't see it."
The Richland County Coroner confirmed their identities Thursday and described them as each suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
The weapon believed to have been used was found closest to Sheddrick Miller, indicating that he was the last to fire it.
On Miller's Facebook page, he depicts what would be seen to be a happy life full of love for his family, which he commonly refers to as royalty.
In one photo, he shares a photo of himself standing with his family before their white two-story home, paired with a bright red front door.
A neighbor told The Slate that the couple hosted Bible studies at their home.
