I would say it's all over bar the shouting.
Obviously nine's lawyers have fine tooth-combed it and its ready to go.
They wouldn't have all this blurb up if there was any question.

the sunday tv program that is broadcast nationwide in australia on the nine network is featuring a story this coming sunday 29th may on "turning a blind eye on paedophilia".
three years ago the sunday program exposed the child sexual abuse in the jehovah's witnesses.
graham davis the reporter for that story won a new york festivals medal in 2004 for that investigation.
I would say it's all over bar the shouting.

there have been posts here that indicate the kh building work may be slowing in the u.s., and that there is consolidation of the congos going on.
if that is true why don't we see the society's published numbers on the decline?
my next question is, heaven forbid, you don't suppose they're inflating the membership numbers do you?
On this board alone I have seen how many ''publishers'' exaggerated their hours - multiply it. I have NEVER seen anyone admit they do the opposite. IF the final (large % exaggerated) figures are submitted to HQ - maybe THEY TOO exaggerate them and round them up ?
My last twenty years I went out but did not put in a report. I thought reporting service to God was wrong.
i've just finished reading this book
i was brought up in the society, seen the elder arrangement brought in, seen changes and in fighting - and finally sttof down as a snr circuit elder in england because of the abuse issue and the society covering up.
i have also the seen the society flee and cya because of the data protection act in the uk.
Bitter....No Way! Did you really read his books
My thoughts exactly. No bitterness in the books I read.

i'd like to get comments from people about whether and how much they were shocked, surprised, or otherwise bothered by the watchtower society's becoming an associated non-governmental organization (ngo).. note that i'd like to see these comments because they might lead to some interesting publicity, so please comment accordingly.. alanf
Where did they condemn other churches for the same sin?
Watchtower 1991 June 1 pp.15-20 Their Refuge?A Lie! ***
.........Like ancient Jerusalem, Christendom looks to worldly alliances for security, and her clergy refuse to take refuge in Jehovah...........
11 A recent book gives an idea when it states: "No less than twenty-four Catholic organizations are represented at the UN. Several of the world's religious leaders have visited the international organization. Most memorable were the visits of His Holiness Pope Paul VI during the General Assembly in 1965 and of Pope John Paul II in 1979. Many religions have special invocations, prayers, hymns and services for the United Nations. The most important examples are those of the Catholic, the Unitarian-Universalist, the Baptist and the Bahai faiths."
The quote in paragraph 11 of the Watchtower June 1 1991 article (above) is not credited, but it appears to come from the 1982 book, New Genesis: Shaping a Global Spirituality chapter 6, Prayer And Meditation At The United Nations by Robert Muller. It has also been suggested that that this material may have been a revised version of a speech that Robert Muller delivered in 1977/8, when as Secretary of ECOSOC, he spoke at the 20th Anniversary of the U.N. Meditation Room.
The *COMPLETE* quote reads as follows. The portion quoted in the Watchtower article is in red underlined text; note the portion which was not included in the Watchtower (which is here highlighted):
*** NEW GENESIS: Shaping a Global Spirituality ***
*** Chapter 6: Prayer and Meditation at the United Nations page 45+following***

Prayer, meditation and spirituality at the UN are fascinating subjects. All major world religions are accredited to the United Nations as non-governmental organizations . For example, no less than twenty-four Catholic organizations are represented at the UN. Several of the world's religious leaders have visited the international organization. Most memorable were the visits of His Holiness Pope Paul VI during the General Assembly in 1965 and of Pope John Paul II in 1979. Many religions have special invocations, prayers, hymns and services for the United Nations. The most important examples are those of the Catholic, the Unitarian-Universalist, the Baptist and the Bahai faiths.

I didnt believe it.
I just couldnt believe it.
After all we would be disfellowshipped if we joined the YMCA just to use the gym.
I mean how hypocritical can you be.
Then the lies and cover ups. To get a library pass in New York, they said.
Then why did they go as NGOS in Australia, Lithuania and all over Europe to UN sponsored conferences.
They cheated, they lied, I found out, they lost me.
