Australian TV show child sexual abuse in JWs

the sunday tv program that is broadcast nationwide in australia on the nine network is featuring a story this coming sunday 29th may on "turning a blind eye on paedophilia".

three years ago the sunday program exposed the child sexual abuse in the jehovah's witnesses.

graham davis the reporter for that story won a new york festivals medal in 2004 for that investigation.

Obviously nine's lawyers have fine tooth-combed it and its ready to go.

They wouldn't have all this blurb up if there was any question.

WT inflating their numbers?

there have been posts here that indicate the kh building work may be slowing in the u.s., and that there is consolidation of the congos going on.

if that is true why don't we see the society's published numbers on the decline?

my next question is, heaven forbid, you don't suppose they're inflating the membership numbers do you?

On this board alone I have seen how many ''publishers'' exaggerated their hours - multiply it. I have NEVER seen anyone admit they do the opposite. IF the final (large % exaggerated) figures are submitted to HQ - maybe THEY TOO exaggerate them and round them up ?

My last twenty years I went out but did not put in a report. I thought reporting service to God was wrong.

i was brought up in the society, seen the elder arrangement brought in, seen changes and in fighting - and finally sttof down as a snr circuit elder in england because of the abuse issue and the society covering up.

i have also the seen the society flee and cya because of the data protection act in the uk.

.....................i received an sms from mrs ozzie last night informing me that ozzie is having an extremely risky operation on wednesday morning, 8am australian time.

i can't give more details at this stage as to the procedure due to confidentiality but i can assure you it is going to be dangerous!

mrs ozzie said that it had to be done despite the risk.. so if all of us here could take a moment tomorrow and send positive thoughts.

The quote in paragraph 11 of the Watchtower June 1 1991 article (above) is not credited, but it appears to come from the 1982 book, New Genesis: Shaping a Global Spirituality chapter 6, Prayer And Meditation At The United Nations by Robert Muller. It has also been suggested that that this material may have been a revised version of a speech that Robert Muller delivered in 1977/8, when as Secretary of ECOSOC, he spoke at the 20th Anniversary of the U.N. Meditation Room.

I didnt believe it.

I just couldnt believe it.

After all we would be disfellowshipped if we joined the YMCA just to use the gym.

I mean how hypocritical can you be.

Then the lies and cover ups. To get a library pass in New York, they said.

Then why did they go as NGOS in Australia, Lithuania and all over Europe to UN sponsored conferences.

They cheated, they lied, I found out, they lost me.
