So by the society becoming members of the United Nations, they themselves are guilty of apostasy, according to their own definition.
Just one little technicality, they did not actually become members of the UN, only governments can do that.
They were NGO’s affiliated with the UN’s DPI (Department of Public Information I believe, Public Relations in other words.

as many of you know, i made the "big news" statement when kerry louderback-wood's scholarly article about watch tower's blood misrepresentation that was published in the journal of church and state was just about to be published.
i was excited about it because lives were at stake and weve never had such an article before to be able to use to show how the watch tower misrepresents the blood issue through its literature and people die because of it.
It was BIG NEWS. It is still BIG NEWS.

...is not always what the law actually means.. that idea might sound like doublethink at first, but it's a basic principle of every legal system and there are several very valid reasons for this.. first: a simple, mechanical reading of law can run counter to what the law was actually intended to accomplish.

I am a little surprised that the natural progression to the WT's stand on blood has not received attention in this thread.

It is a talk by an elder who steps down and DA's himself at the end of the talk. He does it fantastically. On his website he says that he was going to bring up the WT being part of the UN and alot of other scandels, but cut it out at the last second.
