I was reading some of your replies in Dawn?s thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/58618/1.ashx and I suddenly thought: Although I have written to thank him, I really should show my appreciation to Ray Franz in a more positive way.

It was your denigration of him which reminded me of all he went through at the time of his disfellowshipment. I was reminded of his loss of friends and loved ones. Your attitude towards him reminded me how his good name was besmirched by people WITHOUT integrity. I was reminded that at age 60 he had to go out and earn a living. Your posts brought back to me the pain and suffering experienced by a sincere man BECAUSE of his integrity.

So I went to Paypal and sent him a gift.

Surely it is gratifying to know your time on this board is not wasted but has been the precursor to helping a fine Christian man.

Btw I also have earned initials after my name. I assume you will now accord me great respect.

Watchtower Attorneys Stumped

today, october 6, in manchester tennessee the court considered the motion to dismiss petitioned by the watchtower bible and tract society in the case of anderson vs watchtower.

during the hearing for the first time ever the watchtower attorneys were stumped, at a loss for words, silence in the courtroom for what seemed like a 'millennium'.

her honour, justice anne molloy, has just ruled on the legal cost issue in the boer case.

if any of you wish to kindly make donations to vicki boer, we are formulating a vehicle to attend to this as we speak.. we have been in touch with vicki, who is understandably deeply distressed at the turn of events that have forced her to relive much of the trauma which she hoped that this court case would put to rest, and are wresting a plan which would allow her to receive personal donations aimed at her well-being rather than enriching either the wts or her advisers.. an address will be forthcoming shortly, together with a paypal email address which will allow you to send your donations or well-wishes to vicki, scott and the girls.

Elders - Law Enforcers or Loving

they enforce the rules without compassion, dogma without dignity and punish with glee - it keeps the others in line.

they have total control without guideline or being accountable to anyone.

Obviously there is some of each. In my experience the enforcers do not outnumber the loving ones.

I just read this thread, and agree totally with all of Hillary?s observations.

I was a part of the WT organization for the best part of sixty years and have relatives who were CO?s, a DO a bethelite, and elders [laid on].

Among those there was a cad, an uncaring selfish cad. At least one is a very loving man who would have given his life for those in his care. He did in fact give up his health for them. Several are loving, caring men who sincerely believe they are serving God and do the best they can, given the constraints imposed by the society. There are also a few who give the impression that it?s a power/glory trip and some who are sincere but ineffective untrained position holders.

I have also been in many congregations [lost count]. I have found the same thing.

There are some who are just wonderful, some sincerely trying and being about as loving as the average ?good? person would be, and some very poor specimens of humanity.

Many on this board seem to think it a badge of honor to malign all witnesses in every possible way.

To them I ask ? Were you the only intelligent, loving, motivated, sensitive, perceptive

Witness there ever was? When you left did you take all those qualities with you?
