They are a little short on good news about blood.

That was 2002. Nothing good since and lot of bad around the corner.

I Appreciate Barbara Anderson

i'd just like to say that i believe barbara's a wonderful addition to this site and i appreciate all her contributions in her pursuit to expose the watchtower's deceit.

I, too, would like to give my sincere thanks to Barbara.

She went into bat for the most vulnerable among us, abused children. She did that knowing full well the probable outcome of her actions.

She knew she would most likely loose her precious son and many friends. She knew she would be maligned by her former friends.

Barbara did that because she has a conscience and truely loves. Hers are actions, not just words.

She could then have rested on her laurels. But no, she has continued in her efforts to expose the WBTS and could be instrumental in

saving many lives, literally, with the blood issue and figuratively in allowing many escape a life of bondage to the WTS.

Is Barbara perfect? No. But she is a caring genuine person prepared to loose much to help the underprivileged of this world.

For that I would like to thank her.

Anyone leave the JW's and Still Follow Some of the Beliefs?

many of you have seen my posts in the last week or two, but for those who haven't, here's my story in brief: i've been studying with the jw's for a couple of years, but just had too many doubts to commit.

those doubts were solidified when i discovered this site.

now i've decided not to commit.. however, i still believe in some of the things that the jw's believe.

I am facinated by your story and how you have weighed everything and decided not to reject everything the Witnesses teach just because they teach it.

My husband were long time Witnesses. He was baptized just on sixty years ago and I fifty-five. We have both been out three years.

Like you we do not believe Christmass is a Christian celebration. We absolutely agree with the Witnesses stand on war, the trinity, and soul.

It appears to us that the hellfire doctrine is one of the most God-dishonoring doctrines taught today. We also have sympathy for their stand on politics, and agree that

nationalism has been the cause of much bloodshed.

That's about it, unless I think of something else.

I pray God be with you on your journey.

PS Although we don't believe in the trinity we are very sure that the WTS minimize Christ's role almost to the point of denying Christianity itself.

"Special Talk" being given next week about blood

i just got back from the meeting minutes ago.

we had an announcement at the kh this evening that there will be a special talk next service meeting entitled "obeissons au commandement divin de nous abstenir du sang"... which means "let us obey the divin commandment to abstain from blood"

i asked the presiding overseer why the blood talk was being given so early, and not in line with the kingdom ministry schedule.
