  what changes in our thinking are likely needed?.

  i let my jw son use my 4x4 truck to go north on a snowboarding trip, so i borrowed his car...i find several pages of wt cd printouts, and as i was driving scanned them a bit.

  nearly ran off the road when i saw this review question.

  I've just become a father

  i have been married for 10 years and have two wonderful step kids, 15 and 21. being a jw i did not want a child as life seemed so pointless.

  things changed for the better since leaving and i am now the proud father of a big baby boy zac - 9pounds (4.1kg), 52cm long and huge lungs.

  my wife is filipino so the baby looks very asian at the moment.

  How many of you Ex Jehovah's Witnesses married early and it was a disaster?

  what a common tale.

  you marry early becasue you can't have sex.. i was married at 19 and divorced at 50. the only thing that held it together was our involvement in the jw's.

  otherwise it would have been over in less than 5 years.. my kids are not witnesses and have a terrible relationship with their mother, as she is always trying to shove it down their throats.. this is still happening.

  they teach that this gathering demonstrates that the older men in jerusalem exercised doctrinal authority over the congregations throughout the known world.. let us examine, from the two perspectives of luke and paul, what really was going on.

  during the course of the discussion we will examine peter's testimony as well to decide whether god was using this group of men as the ancient version of the modern day governing body.

  okay, just to re-introduce myself, i was raised in the truth, regular pioneered for years, and am a member in good standing with my congregation.

  i have just recently been shocked to realise that i actually have some doubts about the truth.

  it helps for me to focus on one point at a time, and to write down my thoughts in a logical sequence.

  Proof WBTS is downgrading 1914

  maybe they're keeping the doctrine but they are not writing about it as much in the watchtower.. below are statistics from their 07 cd showing how many times 1914 was mentioned in the watchtower for each year 1950 to 2006 .

  i have divided the years 1950 2006 into segments of eight excepting for the last, which is nine.. on the side i have the average for those years.

  notice they have gone from 88.87 a year to 24.44. .

  I can understand the 66/67 spike. That's when all the hu hah about 1975 started. I suppose they were

  using the non proven 1914 to prove the unproven 1975.........But not sure of the reasons for the 83/84 spike.

  Will check in the CD.
